Not impressed with customer service. My husband is in the market for a new truck. We found one on Car Gurus that he was interested in. I read reviews on the dealership to make sure they were reputable before market for a new truck. We found one on Car Gurus that he was interested in. I read reviews on the dealership to make sure they were reputable before driving 4 hours to look at the truck. Upon noticing many unfavorable reviews, I advised my husband to call the dealership to inquire about 'hidden fees" and price changes (many consumers complained about a $1495.00 hidden dealer fee). He spoke with Charne who advised him that she could not disclose price of vehicle. She also said there were several pending offers on the truck. Interesting since the truck has been for sale for 28 days, and the day we call there are several pending offers. Are we buying a house or a truck? We asked her to call back tomorrow with an update on the "several pending offers". We shall see. I will update my review.... Update...we had called and talked to Sharne on a Wednesday. On Thursday, we did get a phone call from mason. My husband and mason played phone tag in the morning. My husband was finally able to speak to him about 10am. We shared our concerns on speaker phone about availability and hidden fees. Mason assured us the truck was available. I explained my husband was taking 1/2 day off from work and we were driving 4 1/2 hours to buy it. We discussed fees. There is a $1500 dealer fee and a $2500 certified preowned fee. Mason was upfront with those. We negotiated price of truck before we left town. We agreed to drop the dealer fee and agreed on a selling price. We texted with mason a few times on our way to Chicago. At one point on our drive to Chicago, mason texted and said he was done for the day, but any salesman could help us when we arrived. About a half an hour later, he texted and said, “never mind, I’ll be here. Just ask for me upon arrival.” Well.....we arrived and he came out with a couple sets of keys in his hand and explained to us that the truck we just drove 4 1/2 hours for and texted about had SOLD! OMG! Are you kidding me! My poor husband actually thought he was kidding. I was waiting for him to say, “just kidding!” Nope! They sold it! I was livid because this was exactly what all the reviews said they did. Mason said they don’t hold vehicles. Okay, then tell us that. Or call us on the road and tell us, so we can turn around. Plus, you don’t buy a vehicle and drive it off the lot in 30 minutes. There is a process! It takes time! So...long story short...mason offered my husband a different truck for same price. It was not the color he had wanted originally, but we did purchase it. The truck is nice and my husband is happy with it. Mason was apologetic of the situation. He was a nice kid. He had to put up with me and my temper tantrum. I was probably more angry with myself for reading the negative reviews and and still driving to this dealership. I was fairly warned. Now...finance guy, Doug. He needs a New job. Unfriendliest sole I have ever dealt with. In 2020 we have purchased a camper and 2 vehicles, so we know what we are doing. I wouldn’t sign the contract until I saw the numbers. He said, “they are on the last page”. I told him, “not a problem, let’s pull out the last page.” Good thing I did. There was a $750 dealer fee added. I disputed it. He argued it. We refused to pay it. We had our arrangement worked out with mason in advance. Doug had to redo the contract. It took a whole 5 minutes to reprint. His attitude got even worse after this episode. All in all, I wouldn’t make a long drive to do business here. If local, sure, they have good cars. Mason is a good kid that sadly saw my wrath of disappointment. I would ask for a different finance guy. I would not sit in a room with Doug and go through the paperwork again. More

The absolute worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. I decided on the car I wanted days before I got to the dealership. On the day I get to the dealership and inform the sales person, Edgar, which truck I decided on the car I wanted days before I got to the dealership. On the day I get to the dealership and inform the sales person, Edgar, which truck I’m buying, it took over 4 hours before I was able to leave. For all my military veterans using USAA car buying service, don’t be fooled. This place does not work well with USAA, and because of that I was not able to use my pre-approved loan from USAA unless I was willing to wait several days. I needed to leave that same day. Now I’ve been waiting on my paperwork to get my truck registered (that was purchased Jan 23) and the only thing I need is a certificate of title. This is where I tell you all, please do not leave the dealership until you have been helped with EVERYTHING you need. Once you purchase your vehicle and leave, the customer service goes straight into the gutter. I have been calling everyday starting 2 weeks ago and I was transferred everywhere except to the person I needed to speak to. Once I was able to reach the right person, they were sick and no one else could be of any assistance. The only person who was helpful was Armi. Everyone else was useless. Now I wanted to hold off on writing this review, but now the temporary tags I was given have expired and I still can’t get my vehicle registered because the dealership STILL hasn’t provided me or the DMV with the necessary paperwork to register my vehicle. Now I’m stuck driving to work with expired tags and hoping I don’t get pulled over. Thank you Arlington Heights, I hope to never deal with you all again. To everyone else, use caution when dealing with this place.again my truck was purchased Jan 23! More
Liars Avoid this place at all costs! Straight up lied to me just to get me in the doors. Had been talking with them for almost 2 weeks about a vehicle and Avoid this place at all costs! Straight up lied to me just to get me in the doors. Had been talking with them for almost 2 weeks about a vehicle and price and when I got there, the vehicle had been sold 2 weeks ago and the price wasn't valid either. I had emails between myself and a representative from the dealership where I asked multiple times about the vehicle and the price. Each time I was told it was but I kept asking to make sure. When I asked the salesman why the representative lied, he said he didn't like, he just "evaded" the truth. Unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Update...I knew I would get the standard "reply" from them based on the other poor reviews. I am now also being bombarded with automated emails from their "service manager". I replied to these emails and let them know what I experienced and yet they continue to send me more emails even though I unsubscribed. You are just a number to them. Too Bad a Negative-Star Rating is not an Option To say my experience was underwhelming would be an understatement. My daughter and I made an appointment and drove 2.5 hours to look at a Jeep Renega To say my experience was underwhelming would be an understatement. My daughter and I made an appointment and drove 2.5 hours to look at a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. Upon initial inspection, it was clear that the previous owner was a heavy smoker. The interior of the vehicle reeked of cigarette smoke; a significant fact omitted on the dealership’s website. Also, the interior of the windshield had a smoky film in which someone drew a xxxxx and testicles, an unmistakable detail clearly ignored by the person who drove the vehicle from its location on the lot of the dealership to the curb for our inspection. The stench emanating from the interior of the vehicle was so repugnant, we did not test-drive the vehicle. Then, matters got progressively worse. A representative from the dealership reached out to me and made promises that were not fulfilled. In correspondence, I left seven voicemails and messages to five different people, none of which returned my calls. Conversations with dealership representatives gave manifest indications that I was lied to on multiple occasions by multiple people, perhaps to dissuade us from returning to the dealership and discovering the truth. My initial inclination was to write a detailed online review, but out of respect for Mr. Ed Napleton as the principal owner and caretaker of the dealership that bears not only his name but that of his father and grandfather since 1931, I submitted a certified letter to his attention. What I received was a phone call from General Manager Andrew Ramus on 17 Apr 2020. When I gave him an assessment of my experience, Mr. Ramus feebly responded that they have a lot of young people working at the dealership. To accept Mr. Ramus' explanation would be to accept the notion that young people inherently tell untruths. I can overlook an occasional misstep, but to have seven messages not returned and be lied to repeatedly is a cultural phenomenon that cannot be laid at the feet of having young employees. More
I did not meet with the person listed. I’m still trying to get some issues resolved. I am there for a buy back.
