BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE !!!! I purchased a NEW vehicle last week that was unfortunately defective (Shakes). We also noticed it had a dent on the back bumper that probably ha !!!! I purchased a NEW vehicle last week that was unfortunately defective (Shakes). We also noticed it had a dent on the back bumper that probably happened when they took the care to "CLEAN" it which we didn't notice right away as it was already dark by the time we got home. We contacted "Q" our sales rep the next day and he promised they would fix it. NO Way!! why would we want a new car that needs to be taken into service the next day?? After several attempts of trying to speak with someone and getting no where we finally came into the dealer to meet with George the sales manager who witnessed the shakiness and dent and asked we come back on Monday so that he could speak with his higher manager and work something out with a flat cancel or trade in. Sure George just prolong the issue to buy yourself time. I called the bank the loan was at before I went back that Monday of course and was told that they would work with the dealer to give me a flat cancel or collateral exchange. Finally went back Monday only to be bounced around from person to person, all managers of who knows what dept asking me what the problem was each and every time. I think they were hoping we would give up and leave but we didn't. We finally spoke to Doug who told us he couldn't help us in taking the vehicle back as he would lose money, well Doug I'm not trying to lose money either. After explaining that his sales manager George had stated we could probably do a flat cancel or trade in Doug proceeded to say that he couldn't account for George's statement as he had left for the night so I asked he call him. Sure enough George confirmed what he had stated leaving the flat cancel out of course, George asked we come back the next day so we did only to find a "DEAL" where George asked us to take the vehicle for a year so that it would lower the equity value and at that point he would trade it in, Really ?? Huh?? Not only would that deal add more miles to the vehicle but who know what can happen in a year meaning the vehicle would be appraised for less of its value. Then they tried to do a trade in where they would add a $9000 negative equity to whatever new vehicle we decided to chose, Really?? couple of days of having the car earned me a $9000 negative equity on a vehicle that was defective to begin with and which we tried to return right away?? I finally had enough and got some legal advise and also called the bank where the loan was at again. They stated I had the right to a collateral exchange here you pretty much swap the car for another one of the same value with out changing the contract or monthly payments just the VIN. When I mentioned this to George he acted like he didn't know what a collateral exchange was. So you're telling me that you don't know what a collateral exchange is yet you've been working there for how long now and yet know what a flat cancel is? What a joke! George got upset and stated he would have Jody ADAMS the general manager contact us. So we left the vehicle there before asking for a copy of my loan application which George declined to provide me. Thats ok George I will get a copy from the lender after all I have that right! We will see what happens I'll keep you guys updated. Maybe JODY ADAMS will do what's right. EVERONE!! know your rights as a consumer as clearly they violated mine. If you are ever violated contact the Better Business Bureau or Illinois general Lisa Madigan. What is being done to me is fair. Deception from the start Found a 2019 Jeep Compass my daughter was interested in online. I called to confirm the vehicle was there and ended up speaking with Armi who assured me the price was the price and that Jeep also had )% financing available.The price wasn't the price when you include all the add-on fees. Financing wasn't )% with the price and then was led to believe it would be 4.9% "but you can change to a better financing option 4 months later so you get all the incentives". Wait, Wait and more wait. After 5 ours, we are now in the finance office. Fill out all the paperwork and to my surprise, the last sheet shows the payment amounts and that finance is actually 6.61%. i have an 850 credit score and my daughter has a 750 by herself. To top it all off, I sent an email directly to the GM explaining the entire experience and haven't heard a word. Appears what we went through working with Napleton Arlington Heights Jeep, must be a common practice. I will never be back or send anyone to this dealership. More
