Unprepared to Service Vehicle I scheduled an appointment during the week of April 30th to have my vehicle serviced by Nazareth Ford on May 8, 2018. When scheduling the appointment I scheduled an appointment during the week of April 30th to have my vehicle serviced by Nazareth Ford on May 8, 2018. When scheduling the appointment I made it clear that my primary reason for service was to have the expansion valve replaced for my air conditioning and that I also needed new brakes. The scheduler confirmed that a diagnostic appointment in Summer 2017 indicated that the expansion valve needed to be replaced. When I arrived for the appointment on 5/8/18, I reiterated to the service coordinator dealing with my vehicle that I was dropping off the car for an A/C repair and brakes. I also asked to have the PA state inspection completed and The Works. The service coordinator looked up my vehicle and stated that the note from Summer 2017 indicated that I needed the expansion valve replaced. I confirmed that the expansion valve replacement was the primary reason that I had the car in for service. Later in the day when I was freed up from having to drive my wife to work and with work appointments of my own, I received a call from the service coordinator to tell me that the expansion valve was not in stock and that if the needed part was ordered, it would not be received until two days later. He asked if it would be a problem to leave the car for 2 more days. OF COURSE IT'S A PROBLEM! The whole reason for scheduling an appointment was to allow both my wife and I to coordinate our work schedules and for me to modify my sales activities so I wouldn't have to be on the road. THEN, the service coordinator started ticking off other "concerns" that the primary Ford dealership which usually services my vehicle did not raise as issues on a recent visit. When I asked how much the additional items would cost, I was floored to find out that he was asking me to spend another $1,700 when the A/C repair wasn't even included and the A/C was the primary reason for the service call. Obviously, the service department FAILED to prepare for my scheduled appointment. The service coordinator could have told me when I dropped off my car in the morning that the part wasn't in stock. I could have rescheduled. I've worked in sales for 25 years. Don't expect me to purchase additional services when you have disrespected me and wasted my time by failing to prepare for the primary service (A/C repair) that I was looking for you to provide. More
Just a state inspection It was like NASCAR, I pulled into the service bay for a state inspection, warmly greeted and asked to wait in the customer waiting room. Wi-fi was working fine as was the free coffee and cookies. The next thing I knew, they were calling my name. In and out and a car wash, so I guess it was almost like NASCAR. Thanks again. More
