New Smyrna Dodge produced the second lowest number of ALL the Dodge dealerships in a 60 mile radius of DeLand, FL. Another dealer was the lowest (only by $150.), but they were very rude!! It took about 6 weeks after I placed the order, but it was sooo worth the wait. I can’t say enough about my purchase from New Smyrna Dodge. New Smyrna Beach Chrysler Jeep Dodge I bought a new Citadel Durango 2011 and on delivery they did not have the factory DVD installed but encouraged us to take it anyway and they would install it later Citadel Durango 2011 and on delivery they did not have the factory DVD installed but encouraged us to take it anyway and they would install it later in the week. 1 week turned to 2 I had to keep calling to see when it would be in to get the work done. When I finally was called to bring it in they installed a much cheaper style that looked like it was from Walmart not the high end one in the showroom model. The finance manager was rude and unprofessional telling me the factory one is not available. I called several other dealerships it certainly can be ordered for 1295.00 plus installment you just have to order it. No one at the dealership could help solve this problem and no one offered to call anyone in charge because that finance guy certainly didn't know what he was talking about or was just plain lying. So the Durango is just sitting at the service dept because it is not what I ordered and I feel I was tricked into taking it off the lot like it was instead of what I ordered. More
I had my 2005 Chrysler Sebring in for service. No codes on computer indicating cause of trouble. John the service tech spent numerous hours literally looking for a needle in a haystack. The sevice advisor was great and took my car in without an appointment. He also kept me well informed on the status of my vehicle. Both of these individuals were very friendly and deserve alot of credit for a job well done. Also I would like to mention the service manager spent many hours road testing my car to try to troubleshoot the problem. All of these employees were great and deserve a special thanks for a job well done. I see why this dealership is a 5 star rating. Everyone is GREAT. I will surely recommend this dealership to everyone I know and I would not hesitate to purchase my next vehicle from them. Super guys to do business with. David was a wonderful salesman. We have dealt with him before and that is why we came back to him. He is patient, answers all questions and works really hard to satisfy the customer. Due to a recent hail storm, there was a very limited supply of quality used vehicles in my area. So I started searching for vehicles in other towns using the Internet. I found a used van that the Ne supply of quality used vehicles in my area. So I started searching for vehicles in other towns using the Internet. I found a used van that the New Smyrna dealership had listed on the Internet, along with their free CarFax report, as well as plenty of information and pictures of the vehicle. Jan was very friendly and helpful with all of my questions throughout the entire purchasing process. I bought the vehicle from out of state based on the dealership's good ratings. I sent in all of the paperwork and the check via overnight courier. I flew into the Sanford apirport, and Jan met me there with the vehicle, and had a very uneventful 11 hour drive back home. The CarFax report had showed a recall brake item that hadn't been fixed, so when I got home, I had the local dealer do the recall repairs and also perform a full inspection. The only thing they found wrong was a blown out bulb, which cost me $4.95. I was very pleased with the quality of the used vehicle and the clean bill of health delivered by the mechanic. The one negative of the entire buying process is that Kevin Waitt, the sales manager, said the dealership had a policy that they would no longer take deposits for vehicle purchases. I had spent many hours searching ad listings on the Internet before I found the vehicle, and I was going to be paying for the vehicle in full with a check from my bank. I had enough money for the vehicle, but I had to transfer it from a savings account that would take 2 business days, and then it would take another business day to overnight them the check. This was over a holiday weekend, so it would have been the next Wednesday before they would have received the check. I offered to put any amount down as a deposit using my credit card, but they wouldn't allow it. This was extremely frustrating, because I needed to book a one-way airfare ticket, and be guaranteed that the vehicle would still be available when I arrived. I ended up having to sign their loan documents to get approved for a loan, just to secure the vehicle. Because I wrote in some corrections on the loan documents, they had to overnight me a second set, and by that time I was able to just overnight them a check, which is what I wanted to do in the first place. This part of the purchasing process was completely unecessary, and very frustrating. I was willing to put down $1,000 deposit and even lose the deposit after a week if I didn't go through with the purchase. They would have gotten all 5 stars from me had it not been for this issue. The experience here was great!!!! My sales man chase came in on his day off just to welcome me and help me through the process.
