Where do I begin. .. I called asking about an appointment on September 15/16th as our truck had a long crank. I specifically asked about having a loaner as we need two .. I called asking about an appointment on September 15/16th as our truck had a long crank. I specifically asked about having a loaner as we need two vehicles and live 30 minutes away. They said they would have one on Thursday the 18th. I verified that we could drop the truck off Thursday evening and pick up the loaner that day. They said yes. Come Thursday, the loaner wasn't available. We had to come back on Friday to get it. Fast forward to the next week, we had to call New Way to get an update on the vehicle. They stated that the technicians couldn't replicate the problem we were experiencing. They put the truck up and determine the fuel pump needed to be replaced. We asked how confident they were that was the issue, as fuel pumps aren't cheap. We were told they were pretty confident. We authorized the replacement. We picked our truck up on Wednesday, the 24th. When it arrived at home, we experienced the same exact issue we had when we dropped it off. We called and spoke to Ron. He stated that it is fine and to "prep" the fuel pump for a few seconds and then start it. He stated it was fine to drive as it "still started". He didn't listen to what we had to say and brushed us off. We drove it to Omaha, under the assumption that the service manager said it was safe to drive. On Friday the 26th, the truck wouldn't start while in Omaha. It was towed back to New Way to be repaired again. I don't need to relay how irate we were, I assume you can figure it out. On Monday, the 29th, we went back to New Way to grab the loaner truck. We spoke to Ron. We were explaining how it was frustrating and an inconvenience to have to go through all of this and have to repeatedly come back to New Way for things. His response was "if it's such an inconvenience, maybe you should go somewhere else?". That is absolutely no way to speak to a customer. Again, he wasn't listening. Overall, Ron was VERY unpleasant to work with. We were told that a relay had blown and wiring had been burnt up. They were going to cover the tow and the repair for this portion of the job. That's fine, but there shouldn't have been a tow to begin with... On Tuesday, September 30th, we made another trip to New Way. We drove the truck around for 10-15 minutes and stopped at New Way. The truck was turned off and turned it back on. Again, the issue presented itself. At this point, we spoke to the mechanic, Gerald, who stated it could be 2 things causing issues. He gave us a rough estimate of the cost. Gerald was great. We'd give him 5 Stars. All in all, New Way has not been pleasant to work with on this. We were due to get two new vehicles over the next few years and had seriously considered New Way as we're from Coon Rapids and like to support the local companies when we can. We're going to follow Ron's wise advise and "go somewhere else" and will be sure to share this story with as many people as we can that are looking for new vehicles or to have service work done. More
