As of five days now driving the car post-repair, there seem to be no leaks. Two other issues have arisen: first, the belt is making noise where it was silent before. Hopefully this will resolve itself with time. Issue was noted in the repair log. More problematic though, is once the car was returned, the service manager stated the oil pressure sender is malfunctioning. He agrees it worked when it was dropped off and now does not due to “coincidental internal failure of the sensor”. They state the pressure is holding when they tested it, but I have no way of verifying as the sensor is now not working. I stated that any reasonable person would expect that if a part was damaged while under the care of the mechanic, the car should be returned with that part repaired/replaced. He said, “This is not how we handle things here”. I questioned the ethics and legality of that decision and he held firm in his decision. I’m now left with over $500 in new repairs to replace this part and am driving a vehicle that I cannot verify is working within safe parameters. To summarize: They worked with Stelantis to get warranty repair work done. Multiple issues with the Jeep have arisen during and after repair. Refusal to take ownership of issues that arose during repair while jeep was in their care. It is reasonable to construe this as negligence or breech of contract. You decide if this dealer is where you want to take your business. More
