Incredible Teamwork, great promises that were fulfilled I originally was buying a car from a different Toyota dealership, and contacted Newburgh Toyota to see if they could give me a competitive price. From I originally was buying a car from a different Toyota dealership, and contacted Newburgh Toyota to see if they could give me a competitive price. From the 5 dealers I contacted, Newburgh came in the lowest. I decided to ask if my current dealer could match the low price, and they could. Since they had put in the original work of showing us the car (New 2016 Rav4 Hybrid XLE) and because they were much closer than Newburgh to our home, we decided to go with the original dealer. We then proceeded to have one of the worst buying experiences of our life. Riddled with communication problems, catching them in several flat out lies, and very poor explanations for non-sensical policies, we actually requested a refund for our $2,000 down payment (it was that bad, to pull out that far into the process). I contacted Newburgh to see if they still had the same car available. They did, and they said would honor the original price they quoted (even though the promotional price they quoted had expired). Every step of the way after that was in total contrast to my first experience. We had 3 individuals looped into a conversation so that there was always someone in the office that was available to give us answers when we needed them, and they made effective and complete (and transparent) communication look easy. They factored in a fee they had forgotten in the original quote and adjusted the dealer discount to ensure the original quote was still maintained. They made sure every piece of information and requirement was in order so that when we finally arrived in person (everything to this point was done remotely) we completed payment and purchased the car in hardly any time at all. However, they were in no rush to get us out (even though it was close to closing time and we were 20 minutes late for our appointment. Megan Higgins, who had already provided stellar service, was totally personable, thorough, detailed, and excited to walk us through our new car. She complied with special requests without batting an eye, and my wife actually spontaneously hugged her at the end of the conversation. I was impressed how the whole process and everyone we touched at the dealership were part of one seamless process, and how they always kept every promise and statement they made from start to finish. Thank you so much for an incredible experience, and for making buying a new car as easy as it ought to be!! More
