While looking for a small SUV, we first shopped around the Parsippany area where we live. Other dealers would not budge on price or throw in anything to sweeten the deal. We saw the type of truck we wanted on Magarino's website, and decided to take the ride to Sussex County one afternoon. It was totally worth it!!! Vic Florio was great from the start, showed us a few other trucks, and never rushed us, or tried any BS salesman tactics. Another employee Pat was there to help as well. They joked with my son and gave him candy while we looked at cars and trucks for a while. Anyway, we found a great SUV for an amazing price, and they extended the warranty too. As promised, there were no hidden fees, no issues, just service with a smile. A few weeks later we went back to pick up our license plates, and not one, but two salesmen jumped out of their seats, and put the plates on our car witho out question. My experience with Vic, Pat, and the rest of the Magarino crew was top notch. I will never shop anywhere else. More

It seems people only write reviews when they experience an issue. I have been buying cars from Magarino Ford for awhile and have never found a car dealer more accommodating. He kept it very simple, gave me a fair amount for my trade-in, and an excellent deal on my new Explorer. There were no tricks, no pressure, no funny math, and the sales manager and finance manager were also very professional and a pleasure to deal with. We bought a used 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid. The salesmen and previous employee stated that there was nothing wrong with the car and printed out a Carfax report -- HOWEVER, they took out the page that stated and previous employee stated that there was nothing wrong with the car and printed out a Carfax report -- HOWEVER, they took out the page that stated that the previous owner had an accident. I even bought a warranty to covered electrical, etc, for $2,000 -- of which NOTHING was covered. The battery went dead after two weeks and I had to eat 1/2 the cost. It would have been the whole cost if I did not go and COMPLAIN. When my daugher complained about other things wrong with the car, the people there dismissed her complaints and kept giving excuses that there was nothing wrong. When we traded the car in for a TOYOTA RAV4 with ALL of the pages of the Carfax, it was PERFECT. IN OTHER WORDS -- FORD LIED ABOUT THE CAR because the salesmen could not account for the mileage from 40K to 116K when we bought it. They said the car had one owner and that it was sold at auction and did not have any idea because "we did not have any information." There was a report made about the accident in Maryland in 2009 and this Carfax report was done in Feb 2010, 5 months before we bought the car. That information would have been available on the report, but they took it out and said no accidents, the car was in good condition, and one owner. Is that why Kevin is no longer there because he lied too when I asked him? I am going to talk to the owner on Saturday but was asked by Mr. Magarino, Jr "what -- you think that we deliberately took the page out?" YES THEY DID AND I HAVE PROOF THAT THAT STATED NO PREVIOUS ACCIDENT AND YESTERDAY (3/12/11) LIED AND COMMITTED FRAUD. DO NOT BUY A FORD!!!!! They will do anything just to sell a car and deceive you. HAD I KNOWN THAT THIS CAR WAS IN A PRIOR ACCIDENT AND THEY BEEN HONEST ABOUT THIS, I WOULD NEVER HAVE BOUGHT THAT CAR. I lost money on my trade-in and NOW YOU ARE GOING TO BE SORRY. PLEASE -- DO NOT BUY ANY FORD. BUY A TOYOTA IF YOU WANT TO GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH AND WE WERE TREATED VERY WELL AND EVEN BROUGHT SOME OF THE COST DOWN BY NEGOTIATING WITH THE SALESMEN AND FINANCE MAN IN NEWTON. More
