Thank you for your comments, eventhough it is a bittersweet review. We are happy Steve Elliott provided you with great service and not so happy a salesperson failed to deliver on a promise to follow up and thus you purchased a vehicle elsewhere. So we can further train the salesperson on the importance of follow up and doing what they say they will do, would you be willing to share his/her name with me? Thanks again for your nice words. Over the years, I have spent alot of money at Nimnicht. Normally I try not to use Mario Burgos because He's always trying to sell me something I don't need or it can be repaired at a later time. My wife made the appointment with him. She told him that the engine idles rough when cold. My fuel level sensor started going bad 1 1/2 years ago. He said I should get it fixed when I got tired going to the gas station alot. He called and told me that the computer had a bunch of codes. He told me that it needed the fuel injection cleaned, new spark plugs, even though they were replaced at 100,000 miles, the codes said they were no good, that the fuel level sensor was causing problems with the computer and would damage it, and that the engine mounts should be replaced. I declined the mounts, something to do later. I paid you $782.80. The Envoy ran good because it was warmed up. The next morning I still have the same problem, rough iddle. So I spent all this money and it appears that all that was wrong was the engine mounts. Which I have not replaced yet. I am not happy....

Jun 24, 2011 -

raybonrjcc responded

Come to think about it, this is the first car I owed that has had the fuel injector service. I buy good gas and add a fuel injector cleaner to my gas yearly.

Jun 27, 2011 -

Nimnicht Buick GMC responded

So it really seems like the motor mounts are the last thing to get your Envoy running smooth again? How can we help?

Jun 27, 2011 -

raybonrjcc responded

You tell me. After spending all this money I don't really have. What am I to do? Put more money on the charge card and make larger payments. And what if does not fix the problem?

Jun 29, 2011 -

Nimnicht Buick GMC responded

Just a quick questions, have all your other issues been resolved? Such as the fuel sensor and the stalling? I can tell by your comments that you are frustrated and want to resolve the issues on your Envoy with out spending more money. I have an offer for you, we are willing to greatly reduce the cost of the repair on the motor mounts. The motor mounts should definetly resolve the issue of the rough idling. In fact we invite you to drive the Envoy with an advisor before you would pay anything for it. My service director and I have talked about your car and he is very sure the motor mounts are the problem because Envoy's are notorious for motor mount replacement at 100K miles. Please advise Regards, Scott Baker

Jul 01, 2011 -

raybonrjcc responded

1. Yes, the fuel sensor works now. This was something I was going to replace when, if ever, the fuel pump went bad. 2. The spark plugs were replaced at 100K miles so this was waisted money. 3. My wife told me the Envoy only stalled once. Her main complaint was the rough idle. The rough idle is still there and goes away after we travel a few miles. 4. If Envoy's are notorious for motor mount replacement at 100K miles is there any recall for this problem. 5. How much are you talking?

Jul 01, 2011 -

Nimnicht Buick GMC responded

I have owned 4 Envoys now and currently have an 06 and I have not reached 100K miles on any of them, but I will be wary of the motor mounts if I ever do. After talking to Gene Maxwell the service director he has agreed to do the job at an internal price meaning you would pay the same as the dealership pays for a repair on any used car we bring in to our inventory. You were originally quotes at $627.17 and the interanl amount is $ 467.94. A savings of $159.23. Will this help you out?

Jul 02, 2011 -

raybonrjcc responded

This is something I will have to think about. My income is close to half that it was last year. And the future doesn't look much better. I still have to deal with money I put on the charge card. So give me a price break down on what is to be done. I don't know what I am doing yet.

Jul 02, 2011 -

Nimnicht Buick GMC responded

Ok so here is a possible solution. We are willing to let you split the bill into 2 payments as long as the total bill is paid in the month the repair is performed. The breakdown of the bill is pretty straightforward. parts=$96.16 labor= $112.50 waste fee= $20 plus sales tax. This breakdown is for each side or per motormount. Will this work for you? If you would like to schedule this please call me at 733-1616. Scott Baker Thanks

Jul 04, 2011 -

raybonrjcc responded

I am going to have to think about it for right now. I am not realy in the position to spend another $500. I am still dealing with the $782. I just spent mostly for nothing.

Jul 05, 2011 -

Nimnicht Buick GMC responded

Hope you had a nice 4th, I understand budget constraints and the offer will stand if you decide to have the work performed at a later date. Are there any other issues that need to be addressed at this time?

Jul 08, 2011 -

Nimnicht Buick GMC responded

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry the repairs you had performed did not ultimatly fix everything, but we hope to see you in the near future to fix the motor mounts at the reduced price we have offerred you. The Nimnicht Buick GMC Team

Jul 09, 2011 -

raybonrjcc responded

I have been on the internet this past week reading about Envoys having problems with a rough idle. Bad engine mounts is a common problem with Envoys when get near the 100k mark. I am not a service advisor, so this is a part I would never think of as goinig bad unless you had a high horse powered engine. Lots of torque etc. etc. SO, since this is a common problem. Why was I talked into the injector flush and replacing good spark plugs that were just replaced at 100K miles? I wish I had the phone conservation between Mario, my wife and I. He made it sound like my Envoy was in bad shape and ready to get worse. If I don't get it fixed it will cost me a lot more money. So many codes and the constant ground coming from the fuel sensor to the computer was bad. Very bad and may be costly to you.

Jul 12, 2011 -

Nimnicht Buick GMC responded

Sorry I just rcvd your email, I will be looking into this and get right back to you. One question I have is who replaced your spark plugs at 100K? Was it us? After speaking with Gene Maxwell about your specific case heindicated that the other services were performed to address the issue of stalling and running rough. The mounts were a seperate issue all together. I will talk to Gene further and have more info to pass on.

Jul 13, 2011 -

Nimnicht Buick GMC responded

After speaking with Gene Maxwell he said the reason your Envoy stops being roogh after you drive for a while is because the oil heats up in the mounts and expands adding a little bit of cushion for the mounts. Since the injector system was not working properly oil got on the plugs and fouled them. With platinum tipped plugs you can't just clean them off like the old days they have to be replaced, that is why the plugs were replaced.

Jul 13, 2011 -

raybonrjcc responded

- So it seems the engine mounts heat up and expand as you drive. Sounds feasible. - Rough idle when engine is cold and in drive. Runs smoothly when you are driving. Does this sound like you have a fuel injection problems? Gas milage shows about 20mpg. And what oil got on the spark plugs and fouled them that they had to be replaced again?? If your service advisor/mechanic had troubleshoot the problem correctly, all you would have had to do was replaced the engine mounts and saved me a bunch of money. SO 1. The car is doing the same thing as from day one. Nothing has changed. Rough idle when started and put in drive. Real rough idle if A/C unit is on. Feels like it wants to stall out. And it did once. But runs smoothly as you drive it. 2. The car doesn't have a rough idle in reverse. Even with the A/C on. This should have told you something. As you can tell, I am still mad at spending all this money and the Envoy still runs the same.

Jul 25, 2011 -

Nimnicht Buick GMC responded

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner I was away as I had a death in the family and I monitor this mail. So if I understand you correctly you are back to square one as far as the rough idle and the stalling goes? When it stalled had it been running for a while so it was warmed up and stall or did it stall out when cold?

Jul 25, 2011 -

raybonrjcc responded

It only stalled once. The car was was cold, it had the A/C on and it stalled at our stop sign near our house. The problem with the Envoy are the engine mounts. You can drive it in reverse with no problems at all. Smooth idle. Like I said before, I am mad that I was scared into spending all this money when the only problem was the engine mounts. I told you this in the 6/23/2011 comment.

Jul 25, 2011 -

Nimnicht Buick GMC responded

As you have stated you were advised to replace the mounts early on in this proccess and declined to do so. So after the Envoy came in with notification lights on and other issues those issues were fixed? You still declined to do the motor mounts and I am sorry if you feel you were scared in to fixing anything. We do not try to do any work other than repair what is wrong and we try to make everyone at ease with what is to be fixed and why it needs to be replaced or repaired. As I have offered to fix the mounts at a very reduced price and even spread it over a whole month I don't know how I can erase the bad feeling you have about the other repairs performed on your Envoy please tell me how to make it better for you.

Jul 26, 2011 -

raybonrjcc responded

As for notification lights on, there were none. OnStar monthly report I received did not state that there were any problems with the Envoy. OBD code reader showed nothing too. I only had a rough idle. I had the spark plugs replaced to try to fix the problem. No luck. So I took it to you to see what was up. Mario told me that the computer was full of codes. Scared me into fixing everthing but the engine mounts. Still surprized that the mounts are bad. Anyway, you stated that "Since the injector system was not working properly oil got on the plugs and fouled them". What oil are you talking about ???? The fuel injection system was probably okay, the spark plug were good and the only thing that was wrong with the Envoy were the motor mounts. I actually want a check for the money I spent replacing the good spark plugs.

Jul 26, 2011 -

Nimnicht Buick GMC responded

Sir, We have offered you a few different solutions to make you happy and you have declined to take advantage of them as of yet. We will honor those offers to you if you choose to opt for them but we will not refund monies for sparkplugs or any other service's performed. We think we have handled this situation in an honorable manner and we would love to make you a happy satisfied customer. Please contact me if you wish to discuss any further. Jul 26, 2011 -

raybonrjcc responded

I have asked this question three times now. You stated that "Since the injector system was not working properly oil got on the plugs and fouled them". What oil are you talking about ???? I am at a point that I will do two things if I don't get a refund. 1. Contact my credit card company and tell them I am having a problem with the service I received at Nimnicht and to hold payment. 2. Write to GMC Customer Assistance Center and complain about Nimnicht. Using scare tactics to get customers to spend money is not right. The sparkplugs only had 8,000 miles on them. They were like new. So, now you will be dealing with two other parties besides me.

Jul 26, 2011 -

Nimnicht Buick GMC responded

I misspoke when I said oil, it was fuel not oil that fouled the plugs. I apologize for the error as I am not a "service tech" and misunderstood Gene Maxwell. We, as a show of good faith will refund the cost of the plugs and the labor charge for replacing them. Will you in turn edit your review to reflect our working with you on this matter?
