AC still not meeting my expectations About a month ago, I took my car in for AC work. I was told the compressor was the problem so I doled out $1400 to fix it. Didn't really get much be About a month ago, I took my car in for AC work. I was told the compressor was the problem so I doled out $1400 to fix it. Didn't really get much better. Still takes a long time to get the car cool compared to when it was new. Thinking that I spent that much money on a major component I expected my car AC to be back to "like new." Nope. Not much better than before I dropped over a grand. Called after I drove 25 minutes to the Skyway with only modest cooling. Follow up appointment was unfortunately on one of our cooler days. Couldn't get the problem to repeat. I was told the AC is coming out of the vents at 40-45F and it won't get much better than that. All I can say is that I feel I wasted my time and money, as I still sweat on car trips less than 15 minutes on hot days. Something is still wrong with my AC, and the diagnostics team was not able to figure it out. Love the car and the service team has been good up until this experience. Not sure what I should do next... UPDATE: Dustin and the service team at Nissan take customer service very seriously. They did truly want to get this issue resolved and to make the customer happy. Upon further review of my symptoms, it was determined that the AC performance was not performing well at idle conditions, such as stop lights, and during the remote start. To resolve this a fuel system and air system cleaning was conducted, as well as a slight adjustment to idle speed. This does seem to have improved the situation. More

Everything was handled professionally and thoughtfully, and while I have been a Ni Leased a new Maxima from this group and couldn't be more impressed.
