I wanted to sell privately but I own my own business and I just know I don't have the time. She told me that I needed to go the KBB Instant cash offer route. I hesitated but thought why not. Clw Fucillo Nissan was the first to reach back out. The KBB instant offer is $15,875.00. It stated it could possibly be higher when you reach the dealership if they saw fit. I was contacted by the dealership, set up an appt (taking HALF the day off from my OWN business) to be greeted when I arrived by someone different that I had been speaking and emailing with. That was fine. He took the keys, came back with a typed up offer of.... $5,000 LESS. I immediately questioned it and asked to speak with the general manager to no avail. He told me that KBB was just a "partner" and that the quote really meant nothing. This is clearly a bait and switch type thing and it is infuriating to me one because the time it took from my day and the fact that some people might go for this. I find this incredibly unprofessional and a horrible business tactic. I called the woman who I had spoken to the same morning to tell her what had happened and she said "I just do what they tell me, that's why I told you it might be up to 5k HIGHER" Yes, I confirmed the quote before I went and this is what she told me. I will NEVER buy a car from them or refer anyone to them in the future, I have lived in the area my entire life, we have 6 cars between the 3 of us and know a ton of people in the area. I hope they ask about this experience. More
