CRIMINAL EXPLOITATION, RACIAL DISCRIMINATION, AND ILLEGAL FINANCING PRACTICE AT NISSAN OF GARDEN CITY I am filing this public exposure against Nissan of Garden City, specifically Finance Manager Leonel Va FINANCING PRACTICE AT NISSAN OF GARDEN CITY I am filing this public exposure against Nissan of Garden City, specifically Finance Manager Leonel Vargas, for severe consumer fraud, predatory lending, and explicit racial and linguistic discrimination targeting an immigrant customer. 1. THE $11,256 FINANCIAL SCAM BY FINANCE MANAGER LEONEL VARGAS: This dealership advertised a 2025 Nissan Sentra SV online for $16,012, explicitly stating that the $175 dealer doc fee was ALREADY INCLUDED. We also had a $500 dealer discount coupon, making the honest base price $15,512. Instead, Leonel Vargas completely hid the coupon, illegally inflated the vehicle's base price on the contract to $16,980, and packed the loan with fraudulent, non-mandatory, and undocumented ghost fees, including: $3,495 for an unauthorized "Advantage Care" warranty. $459 for a useless "Total Protection" package. $1,995 pocketed as a hidden "Bank Fee" (completely absent from any official contract rules). $1,115 pocketed as a hidden "Dealer Fee." $175 double-charged for the doc fee that was already included in the internet price. Leonel Vargas forced the loan principal up to over $23,000. Consequently, my monthly payment was illegally jacked up from an honest $274/month to $424/month for 72 months. Over the life of this loan, including interest, this dealership has scammed my family out of exactly $11,256. 2. THE UNDOCUMENTED INSURANCE TRANSACTION: In addition to the contract fraud, Sales Consultant Zephyr Chase charged a $600 "Insurance Broker Fee" for setting up the auto insurance, forcing me to send it directly via Zelle. This transaction was done completely off the books, with absolutely no official receipt, dealer invoice, or tax documentation provided, which is a highly irregular and unacceptable business practice. 3. CIVIL RIGHTS & LINGUISTIC VIOLATION BY LEONEL VARGAS: Knowing I had a severe language barrier, Leonel Vargas deliberately isolated me to exert psychological pressure and force signatures under duress. When we returned the next day with an English-speaking translator (my sister), Leonel Vargas showed extreme hostility and committed a blatant civil rights violation, shouting: "You either speak to us alone or get out of here! Your English is perfectly fine!" He banned my translator, forced a vulnerable immigrant into a hostile room, and aggressively stated: "Go to court, you signed it, you have no rights, and don't come here with AI logic." We have preserved the Zelle transaction receipt, all non-itemized contract pages, and the original internet ads. Formal complaints for dealer fraud, undocumented fees, and civil rights violations have been officially filed with the New York State Attorney General, NY DMV Enforcement, Wells Fargo Fraud Division, and Nissan USA Corporate. Avoid Leonel Vargas at all costs. This predatory establishment needs its dealer license reviewed immediately. More

Instead of billing the responsible party, they refused to release my car unless I paid their diagnostic fee. They held my vehicle hostage over a safety‑critical defect I did not cause, fully aware that their demand violated standard procedure. They charged me $334.85 This was not incompetence. It was intentional. Nissan Garden City chose to pressure the customer rather than follow the rules. If you value honesty, transparency, or basic professionalism, avoid this dealership. I will be filing a complaint with Nissan North American Corporate office, The DMV, and AG complaint. More
