This dealership lies about the cars they have with the prices they offer to bait you in. And then when you get there they laugh in your face and try to convince you to lease a brand new car. Will never do prices they offer to bait you in. And then when you get there they laugh in your face and try to convince you to lease a brand new car. Will never do business here again. More
I really tried to give it a shot and be fair, however, sometimes just have to call it for what it is, in this case, that call is massively disappointed, so much promise yet… nothing.. just like their star sometimes just have to call it for what it is, in this case, that call is massively disappointed, so much promise yet… nothing.. just like their star rating should be, but Google needs at least one to leave a review. I am extremely disappointed with Garden City Nissan (GC). My experience with this dealership has been nothing short of a nightmare. When I purchased my car in early April, I was explicitly promised a second key and fob as part of the deal. I was promised by their salesman, Nick. Naively, I didn’t get this in writing—my first mistake—as there are a plethora of awards decorating the sales floor. Foolishly, I believed I could trust the dealership. I was wrong. Utterly and disgustingly wrong. Those award plaques are nothing more than a sham, obtained through questionable, deceitful practices at best, and shady, if not downright illegal, methods at worst. I scheduled my service appointment for my promised key, 3 days after my vehicle purchase. I was told by service, after waiting several hours, that they were told by Sales to run the claim through a third-party policy. However, due to the timing of the claim, (3 days after purchase), that I would need to accrue more mileage otherwise the claim would be denied. Service seemed disgusted, practically admitting Sales keeps pulling this nonsense stating “I’ve told Sales to stop doing these types of things – Thought this was a we-owe-you type thing.” To their credit they were professionals, thus far the only dept. deserving of an award, noted on his business card(s), and [dealer’s] awards plastered everywhere. The idea of the dealership filing a fraudulent key replacement claim on my behalf to get paid for something they promised me is absolutely repugnant. I've driven this car for more than four thousand miles already – that's well past the point where a legitimate claim could be filed. They want to steal money from a company for their own incompetence after dangling that second key fob like a carrot on a stick at the sale? Disgusting. The whole experience left me with a sour taste in my mouth. Sure, I can stomach the typical dealership games – the misleading online prices (they tack on $4,000 in fees for their profit for used cars - admitted to me by their sales team), the insulting lowball offer on my trade-in (seriously, Legend Nissan offered $1800 more, even after I had to negotiate a higher amount, Disgraceful). But this is beyond a joke. Honestly, at this point, I bet even a clown college graduate would have shown me more respect. The worst part? I actually love the car itself. What a shame it has been, ruined by such a rotten experience. On top of the issues with the key and fob, I have had ongoing problems with their financial department regarding the cancellation of add-on products, supposed to be 45 days, its been over 90 days at time of writing. - costing me money on interest, and me from knowing a true payoff amount, (to pay the car off before the 6 mo. mark on the loan) I’ve reached out for my key fob/key, and thus far nothing… I am going to keep following up until I get my key and fob. They had the audacity to charge me $4,000 in fees for their profit ((refused to budge on)), they can afford to give me my key and fob that was promised to me at sale), it is not my issue that the sales member that made the promise is no longer there. My experience with Garden City Nissan has been a nightmare. They fail to uphold their promises, engage in outright fraudulent behavior, and provide terrible customer service. I strongly advise anyone considering this dealership to look elsewhere. Save yourself the headache and avoid More
