I spoke with N, who is the Internet Sales Representatie and explained what type of Nissan Frontier I wanted. She gave me a price, and I told her that Coggin Nissan of Jacksonville had offered a better price, and she said would get with her sales manager and get back with me. She contacted me and matched their price, and said that the vechile included extra features along with the tow package. When I arrived, I met her and she passed me off to another sales person named C. He let me test drive the vechile and I noticed that their was not a tow package. C stated that the tow package would cost another $495. I agreed to the price and he turned everything over to the finance manager, B. It took B over 5 hours to get the paperwork ready. This is no lie. We arrived at 1:45 and did not not leave until 6:40. B was very rude and we almost left after 4 hours. But he appoligized and we agreed to stay. When we closed on the document, he gave us papers to sign and we read them. As were signing the documents, he told us that he got us a 4.49% interest rate and it included, 3 years of free oil changes and 60,000 mile extended warranty. But at the end of the signing, B stated that we need to sign the papers through the computer, so he could send them to Nissan. He stated that they were the same things that we had already signed just on the computer. There was no way to read these documents, just a small box for our signature. He printed these documents and placed them in the folder with the other documents. The next day I looked at all of the documents including the documents from the computer. The 3 years of free oil changes and the 60,000 mile extended warranty cost and extra $1,328.00. B put this on the computer contract and never told us about the price. I called B and told him that I wanted to cancel this and get a refund. He stated that I would need to come back in and resign everything again. I remined him that I live 2 1/2 hours away and I did not want to drive back and then wait another five hours for him to get the paper work ready. I told him that I would call Nissan and find out if there was a better way. I called Nissan, and they said that B could just fax the paper work to me and let me sign it and then fax it back. I called B and he faxed it to me and then I faxed back to him. I then called him and asked him did he get the fax, and he said who is this, I hd to give him my name again and remind him of the fact that I wanted to cancel the extended warranty. B then said, oh yea, I did get you fax. After several weeks, I did not get my refund, I filed a complaint with the Dlorida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle. The agent went to the dealership and made sure that this warranty was canceled. The website is www.flhsmv.gov. You can fax or mail the complaint. DO NOT buy from these people. This is the worst car buying experience that I have ever had. Buy from anyone but Saint Augustine Nissan. I usually do not put reviews online, but I want everyone to know about this place. I have also contacted Nissan and let them know as well. I would advise everyone to contact Nissan and let them know about the bad experience they have had with this place. Also file a complaint with the FLORIDA HIGHWAY SAFETY AND MOTOR VEHICLE. They handle all complaints about dealerships, including sales and service issues. Also, file a complain with the Better Business Bureau. More
I've encountered pricing and poor sales practices before, I've encountered pricing and poor sales practices before, but never to the flat out lying I experienced at St. Augustine Nissan. Went there to loo I've encountered pricing and poor sales practices before, but never to the flat out lying I experienced at St. Augustine Nissan. Went there to look at a 2011 Nissan Frontier. I wanted to see if trading in my 2010 Ford E-350 was the way to go. The trade in allowance was ridiculous at 12K. The van is in new condition. After turning that offer down I was asked if I would buy the Nissan right now at $2,000. and my van. I told them I don't do anything right now and wanted to take that info home to discuss it with my wife. After two days of trying to contact my sales person(Keith)by phone (in all fairness he was out for personal reasons) Nichole took my info and said she could help me. I gave her my counter offer of 2k, my van out the door. She informed she would call me back. She called back a couple times for more information about my van. I told her that was all taken care of by my sales rep a couple days ago. She hung up and called a short while later. She told me she talked to the manager and that seemed like a fair offer. She also asked me if I could bring the van in so they could check it again. I agreed and asked if I needed to bring my title and papers she said yes. I also explained to her I was busy and it was some distance to get there. I also explained to her I would be extremely upset if I got there and things were not as she said. She said that they wouldn't do that and they wanted my business. So when I arrived there I was informed that Nichole had to leave to let her dog out and this gentleman (Chris) would help me. Well to sum it all up Cris said that deal was no good and it would be $8,500 and my van out the door. Needless to say I pretty much lost it. I accused them of lying and wanted him to explain to me why they have to be so dishonest. It went back and forth for several minutes and I left. I wouldn't set one foot on that property again and I vowed to tell my story to anyone interested in buying a Nissan. Just for the record I'm a 66 yr old male and this isn't the first time I've purchased a vehicle or dealt with dishonest dealers. It's really sad that places like this are allowed to remain in business....... More
Brought my car in March to be serviced and had some questions regarding the vehicle. to be fair, i did not buy the car at this dealership. They did not have the vehicle I was looking for and their pric questions regarding the vehicle. to be fair, i did not buy the car at this dealership. They did not have the vehicle I was looking for and their prices were higher than other dealerships. I am writing this review now because of the "friendly follow up call on my cell I received 7 months later. The girl wanted to know why I wouldn't come back? Well, 1. The attitude of the sales manager and her employee on the Mon morning I had the appt. was horrible. 2. they could not answer ANY questions I had about my car. They were just plain stupid. I asked what the sensor was on the dash and neither her or the guy working with her knew. What? You don't know about the nissan Pathfinder and you service these cars? 3. I brought it in for a couple of issues, non of which I can remember right now and they couldn't handle any of them. Also asked the guy if the hard steering was normal and he didn't even test the steering wheel. 4. No one ever called me to let me know the deflector or the paint that I ordered came in. I actually was appalled at the bad attitude these people had. It is apparant that they are extremely unhappy at their place of employment and it reflects in their demeanor. I went from there to Coggin Nissan at the Avenues and I have never been happier. It's like a different world there. The dealership is much larger and the service department is awesome. They are definitely happier, they keep most parts on hand and they installed my bug deflector, gave me FREE touch up paint and even got the waterspots off my windows for practically nothing. i bought a Weathertech liner for the back of pathfinder and when it came in - he actually refunded me some money because they charged me too much initially. Just had an oil change there last week and they couldn't be nicer! AND... I didn't buy my car from them either! Don't go to St Augustine Nissan for service. More
Nissan of St. Augustine do anything to sell you a car, but once there's a problem with the car, they run you in circles and do not want to take care of the problem. We had to go to another Nissan dealer w but once there's a problem with the car, they run you in circles and do not want to take care of the problem. We had to go to another Nissan dealer which did fix the car by replacing a manufacture defect, when St. Augustine refused to even look for the problem on multiple occasions. If you're looking for a Nissan, I recommend going to Daytona or Universal in Orlando, whom are both very professional and seem to care for their customers. Beware, do not buy your vehicle in Lighthouse St. Augustine Nissan. Nissan also damaged part of the door panel interior. We were so disappointed that we did not even complain of the damage, we just wanted our car out of there. More
Came to purchase a Nissan Murano. Salesman Chris worked with me and was very kind and not pushy. He worked with me to get the pricing I was looking for and I purchased the vehicle for $2k under book value! with me and was very kind and not pushy. They lied to me and admitted it. I understand in negotiations when dealing with car dealerships there is a certain amount of fudging the truth. We went together and met the sales manager and he introduced us to one of the salesman. We decided to purchase a Nissan Sentra for the low payments and vehicle reputation. Before we left the salesman made sure we knew just as much as he did about the vehicle. My grandson loves his new car and we couldn't be happier. Thank you. More
I bought a 2011 Altima from this dealership on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, still under factory warranty with only 31,000 miles on it. On Friday, April 27, 2012 my brakes started squealing so I called and told April 25, 2012, still under factory warranty with only 31,000 miles on it. On Friday, April 27, 2012 my brakes started squealing so I called and told them about it. Took it back in on Saturday, April 28, 2012 and was told by the Service Department Manager that I would have to pay $250 to have the brakes fixed. I said no because I just bought the car three days ago. Well after two weeks of back and forth, they finally fixed the brakes. In the meantime, I also talked to them about the fact that I only got one key to the car and was told that they could contact the previous owner and find out if the he or she still had the other key. I finally called back again on Thursday, May 17th to find out who the general manager is and was told that his name is Todd. Well I called Todd on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and again Monday, May 21st leaving messages each time but of course I have never talked to Todd because he's always in a meeting. I finally talked to someone else and was informed that I would have to pay $200 for a new key to be given to me for my car because this is the dealership's policy. None of this makes any sense to me. This is the sorriest dealership I have ever encountered. Even buy here pay here dealerships give you a second key free of charge. Nissan of St. Augustine seems to go out of their way to make you pay more money for the things you need for your vehicle and it doesn't matter to them if it's bad business. I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone and neither should anyone else. If you really want a Nissan, find another dealership and avoid Nissan of St. Augustine. More
Extremely nasty experience. The dealership advertised lease special was beyond misleading...it was false. An advertised "sign and drive" deal turned into a large cap cost reduction required. This dealership demonstated the typical con games so often representative of car dealerships. More
