We replaced the radio with a new unit from Nissan, but did not meet your satisfaction, so we scheduled an appointment for you to meet with a factory representative and they advised that the radio operates as designed. The explanation provided by your representative that the unit is “operating as designed” is both confusing and unacceptable. If the system is truly functioning as intended, then it raises the serious concern that it was designed to perform inadequately. The ongoing issues I am experiencing are not minor inconveniences but fundamental failures. I cannot use the GPS while listening to music, the system freezes frequently, and it produces crackling and static during phone calls when navigation is active. These problems significantly diminish the usability, safety, and overall value of the vehicle. These shortcomings are inconsistent with the standard of modern automotive technology. Features such as Apple CarPlay have been widely available for years, yet I am being told that the system in a 2022 vehicle is somehow “old.” This claim does not align with my direct experience using similar systems. The rental vehicle provided by your company functioned flawlessly, and comparable systems in other vehicles, including a 2021 KIA model I regularly use, operate without any of these issues. This clearly demonstrates that the problem lies not with the technology itself, but with the specific unit installed in my truck. What is most concerning is the lack of accountability in addressing this matter. I purchased a $28,000 truck and invested an additional $4,000 in a warranty with the reasonable expectation that all components, including the radio and infotainment system, would function properly. I was never informed that the system would be defective or unreliable. Had that disclosure been made, it would have directly impacted my decision to purchase the vehicle. Offering a $300 credit toward a replacement is not a reasonable solution given the extent of the defect and the value of the purchase. I will continue to leave reviews to warn people and future car buyers that Nissan will not take responsibility for this.

I am writing to follow up on your message from April 7th at 3:55 PM, in which you indicated that Nissan would be contacted regarding my situation. As of today, Look above. I have not received any update or contact. I guess I’ll just keep waiting. Given that this matter involves a $28,000 truck that you already got money for why would I be on Nissans list to call.

I am once again documenting the ongoing lack of communication and accountability from Nissan. On April 9, 2026, I was contacted by Mike from Nissan Westbury in response to my previous review. After I clearly explained my issue, he assured me that I would receive a follow-up call either on April 10 or at the beginning of the following week. He specifically stated that he would be reaching out to Nissan on my behalf to address the problem. As of April 15, 2026, there has been absolutely no follow-up no call, no update, no explanation. This is not a minor oversight, it reflects a complete disregard for customer concerns and a failure to honor even the most basic commitments. Meanwhile, I have now made my third payment on a $28,000 truck that remains defective due to a faulty radio. It is unacceptable that I am being held financially responsible for a vehicle that is not functioning as it should, while Nissan and its representatives fail to take meaningful action or even communicate. At this point, the issue is no longer just the defective equipment—it is the pattern of neglect, broken promises, and lack of professionalism. This experience has severely undermined my trust in Nissan and raises serious concerns about how customer issues are handled.
