Teddy Nissan wasnt the first dealership I've been to, but it was the nicest one. Mr Lundy greeted me and helped me with the process of buying my first new car. They were friendly and nice initially when I first met the I visited Teddy Nissan on Labor Day 2013 to inquire about the Nissan Pathfinder promotion. They were friendly and nice initially when I first met them. After quite sometime, I realized that my budget doesn't fit with the car that I want so they tried to offer me another car which will "fit" my budget even though I don't like the car they have in mind...Rogue! After they sensed that I'm not into Rogue, they offered me another car...Maxima. I went to Teddy Nissan with my luxury SUV to trade with a Pathfinder. When they offered me a Maxima, I was already half hearted with the idea of having a sedan but nevertheless let them show me my options. To cut the story short, the offer was a little bit enticing but I told them I will think about the offer after they didn't agree with my counter offer and after the Sales Agent, Raymond Martinez, told me that " it's not even an option" referring to my counter offer. Two days later, I called Raymond Martinez the Sales Agent, to inquire if their offer is still available because I'm "buying" in to their offer if only I can stretched out the down payment and add it to my monthly payment. (It was just a small amount but I...)Raymond Martinez said, " it's not possible". To my mind, if it's not possible then perhaps Maxima is not really for me and we hang up the phone. Moments later, Raymond Martinez left a voice message on my cellphone saying that he spoke to his manager (Alex) and that his boss agreed to my counter offer. I called him back to verify the offer and he told me to come over so we can start the paperwork. He further stated not to worry about anything because "you're in good hands" Right after my work I went straight to Teddy Nissan and I was greeted by Raymond Martinez with excitement. He went to his boss, Alex, and when he came back his words were "you know Labor Day sale is over and the price of the car could be a little higher but let me talk to my boss to see if we can work out something for you that fits your budget". I was stunned! (What ever happen to our prior conversation about two hours ago) I just looked at him and said "alright". He went back again to his boss (Alex) and after a few good minutes waiting while puffing my cigarette outside he came back to me and showed me a paper with numbers saying "this is the best we can do for you". The price went much higher than the initial offer. He tried to convince me that this was a good deal since Labor Day sale is over. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I was so upset that they asked me to come over on the premise that we have reached a deal! They still tried to play me around but this was too much already so I got into my car and left. I was saying to myself out loud that "This is baloney", Raymond Martinez heard it and told me..."you are baloney" and quickly turned away. Wow! The audacity of rudeness to a customer! But wait, the story is not over yet. So, I was driving home when my cellphone kept on ringing. It was coming from Teddy Nissan. I didn't answer the phone. But it was so persistent so I pick it up and voila! It was the Sales Manager himself. He asked me what happen? Why did I leave? He tried to convince me with so much explanation of the circumstance but when I tried to rationalize with him he hang up the phone. What a jerk! I tried to call him back but he would not answer. So very unprofessional! I am a 41 y/o Nurse Manager and a big part of my daily routine is handling patients and family issues and I can proudly say that in my 21 years of practice as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Manager I have not received any complaint from any patient or family on how I handle their issues. Teddy Nissan should look into this matter and make sure that the people you hire are equipped with the character becoming of a Sales Manager and of Customer Service Representative. I was in the market for a 2010-2012 black Nissan 370z 6spd sport package because some clown totaled my brand new 370z on the highway recently, I wanted to get the same car because Ive seen first hand how 6spd sport package because some clown totaled my brand new 370z on the highway recently, I wanted to get the same car because Ive seen first hand how fast and safe the car can be in a crash so I rode my bike 2 miles to teddy nissan because they had the exact car i just totaled sitting in there lot. I was just going there to look the car over and maybe take a test drive. When i got to the dealership i locked my bike near by and was approached by a kind salesman by the name of Anthony Nardella. I told him I am looking for a black 370z ,he kindly showed me the car without hesitation. The car was in good condition so i offered to take a test drive, once again he obliged without hesitation he did not ask me if i know how to drive a stick or if im a good driver which is very important to me, he just needed my drivers license. The whole process toke less then 5mins to get driving! The test drive checked out good so i was interested in the car so we went inside and worked out a price on the car which we both agreed with, he played no games and was a straight shooter with me. During the whole negotiation he was not pushy or come at me with disrespectful numbers trying to play me for a fool. I did not have my credit union approval with me so i told Anthony if he can match my credit union apr of 1.99% we could close the deal today. Anthony and the finance manager came back at me with the same rate witch is very surprising because most dealerships will try to come back with higher apr rates. My credit score is in the 850s so i guess they knew i pay what i owe. Anthony Nardella stayed with me and the finance manager until we closed the deal around 1130pm, the dealership closes at 900pm. I had my new set of car keys and was ready to drive off in my new used 370z i just had one problem, i had no where to put my mountain bike due to the small cargo room of the Z which was locked up in front of the dealership!!! Mr. Nardella told me to bring the bike in the dealership and he will lock it in a storage room and the next day he will have a employee load the bike in a van and follow me home which he did the following day. My whole experience that night at Teddy Nissan was great, from the manager Gabriel all the way down to the workers who prepped my car that night was professional and respectful! If you are looking for a new or used car in the northeast area walk in to Teddy Nissan and ask to speak to salesman Anthony Nardella he plays no games or gimmicks you will not be disappointed!
