My car buying experience at Teddy Nissan was surprisingly good. I came in expecting to be pressured (given the reputation of car sales people) However I was pleasantly and happily surprised by the wonderful good. Garfield Hughes, the salesman, seemed to care about getting the vehicle for me that best matched my needs and budget. I walked in with a budget and a type of car in mind (having done my research) and walked out satisfied with my purchase. This was my first time buying from a dealer and given the experience I will more than likely do so again when the time comes (doing a bit more research on fees). As a side note apparently the car that I initially selected was found to have a problem with the compressor and the used car sales manager was honest about the issue and offered me a comparable car in its place. I even had a good experience with the loan officer, Bob Alongi. He had me laughing from the minute I stepped in his office until I left. In addition, he was able to beat the rate for the pre-approved loan that I received from my bank. In any case the everyone was frienldy from when I stepped in the door until I left, and this is taking into consideration that I had to wait for a very long time due to the problem with the initial car. If my experience is representative of the entire staff, suffice it to say that Teddy Nissan has a friendly and professional sale staff. Also I initially received one key for my car. I called Garfield and asked him for an extra key (which would have cost me over $100 to purchase and program) and without hesitation he told me to come down and within an hour I had an additional key without a problem. My only issue is the fees that were added to the price of the car. This is not an issue specific to Teddy Nissan but an issue that you will encounter at all dealerships. Ensure that you are informed of the fees prior to entering the dealership because you may be surprised as I was. There was an initial $1500 dealer prep fee which we negotiated down. However I wish I had done my research, by the time I signed the contract they had added $1200 in fees (dealer prep and warehousing). Regardless of where you choose to buy be mindful that you will pay fees above and beyond the initial price. Overall the salesman, Garfield Hughes, and the Teddy Nissan team was attentive and helpful and I would recommend them. More

was a tough day. last satueday of the month, very crowded but they made concessions for the long wait also kept there promise that they would make the deal work. I was also interested in doing a trade-in and he made that process as simple as possible. It took a few days to actually get the vehicle that I wanted, alot of negotiations, reassuring phone-calls from Antonio, who through it all tried his best to work out a good deal for me.In the final stages Mr.Alongi became part of the negotiation deal in getting the financing and trade done. He was optimistic, very jovial and helped us tremendously in finalizing the deal.In the end I am happy to say that I rode out of the dealership with a brand new 2011 Nissan Altima. So to anyone looking for a great dealership and salesperson I recommend Teddy Nissan in the Bronx and Antonio Figueroa, the # 1 salesperson! More

It all began a year and a half ago when I first walked into Teddy Nissan with some friends to simply look at cars. I was approached by Garfield. He was very pleasant and courteous. A year later, I finally came in and leased a 2011 Nissan Altima. They are very patient and are willing to answer any questions that may arise. He even took the time to explain all the features of the car. Just keep in mind that the initial agreement made on payments are usually way higher than negotiated because of taxes and fees. So try to negotiate the price as low as possible. Gabriel and Garfield made my first time buying experience a very exciting one, and i will deffinately recommend them. I walked in there with no credit and William reasurred me that he would have something for me. You will walk out of here with a car, he said to me. It took four days before I got a car but William never got upset or impatient. Even when I got frustrated William still told me I am going to get you a ride. I have been to several dealers and none of them spent the time to explain or work out something for me. William is an excellent sales representative who is very professional and I would definetely recommend him to anyone that I know is going to get a car.
