Helpful Honda Dealer? Not Norm Reeves Honda Superstore West Covina. The start of my experience was very positive. However, immediately following the signing and accepta Not Norm Reeves Honda Superstore West Covina. The start of my experience was very positive. However, immediately following the signing and acceptance of my new Honda Pilot, the experience was far from what was promised and the follow-up by the staff was less than helpful. From the beginning, staff were notified the vehicle needed to be registered in Nevada, my state of residence. I was told by sales staff (David Ochoa and Jason Fang) that my request would not be an issue. Both checked with their sales manager to confirm it would not be an issue. When signing purchase documents, I reminded the Finance Manager (Mojtaba Maarefi) the vehicle was to be registered in Nevada - if this could not be accomplished, I would need to cancel the transaction. After conferring with his supervisor, Mr. Maarefi informed me they would process purchase with a California registration but as soon as I provided proof of Nevada registration, the California registration would be cancelled, and a refund would be issued. The Nevada registration was to be completed within 60 hours of purchase. Mr. Maarefi went as far as to provide me with his personal cell phone so that I could text him proof of Nevada registration. I completed the Nevada registration as agreed upon and provided the required proof to Mr. Maarefi. After three days of no response, I reached out to both Mr. Fang and Mr. Maarefi. At that time, I was informed that Norm Reeves Superstore West Covina would not honor their commitment of backing out the California registration and a providing a refund as promised. In a personal meeting with Mr. Fang, I was told it was out of his control, that he never stated the automobile would not be registered in my state of residence. During this meeting, the Sales Manager would not come out of his office to talk with me. Mr. Fang suggested that I should not have registered the vehicle in Nevada until after the California registration expired (one year) - a violation of Nevada vehicle code (illegal). Norm Reeves Honda Superstore proceeded with the sale with no intention of honoring their commitment all for the sake of making a sale - knowing I would have cancelled the transaction - resulting in an unnecessary cost to me of $850. If this is how they treat a customer of 15+ years, I shudder to think how a new customer is treated. BUYER BEWARE - FIND ANOTHER DEALER! More
