Deceived! Deceptive Price Protection Guarantee and Dealer. My husband and I were just looking but we end up sitting down listening to our rep Nino Morales. I as Deceptive Price Protection Guarantee and Dealer. My husband and I were just looking but we end up sitting down listening to our rep Nino Morales. I asked for a discount (as it is Memorial weekend) showing them a quote from another dealer with a 4k discount and was told that we have 3k+ because it will be given to us at 38,755 instead of 42k (price posted on the car has 38k+ on left lower right, as I am facing it) and 41-42k on the lower left. Our credit was not that good so the quote for a purchase was way over our budget. We told Nino "no", but Nino came back with another quote which is a "lease" price. We told him we do not understand lease and that we will research on it and come back in the am. Nino stopped us from leaving and got the Manager John S to talk and explain the "lease", still my husband said no and we will come back the next day (since we have movie night at 630pm). I have to own up to our mistake that we could have stood up and just leave, but instead we did not want to be disrespectful and we listened. To make the long story short, after 6-7 hours, tired and hungry, we gave in to a "lease" and signed. The next day, we went back to the store because we had a quote of the same vehicle, same exterior and interior, at a lower price. They have the "Price Protection Guarantee" wherein if we find same car, they (Honda) will pay the difference or buy the car back. We asked to speak to the Manager John instead it was our rep Nino who met us. I explained about the Price Match and this is what was explained TO HONOR THE PRICE PROTECTION, WE HAVE TO BRING IN A CONTRACT FROM ANOTHER DEALER, NOT JUST A QUOTE, BUT A CONTRACT THAT WILL DEMONSTRATE THE PRICE! Does that mean I have to buy the same minivan and show it to them to ensure that it is indeed the price...what does that leave me? I will have two vans? I was asking him to bring the manager but we were told, he was busy. So I told him, I would compromise, to just give us the 3k+ discount that he said he'd give (from the 42k price on the left which provide some additives to the van), and all he said was "NO, I DID NOT SAY THAT". I almost have a heart attack. He left and we were so frustrated. Much as I want to be mad and yell, just not worth it because my husband just had heart surgery. I called them the next day and left messages, but no Manager answered my call. It is amazing how these two people, flock and gave us their undivided attention, but once the deal is sealed, they treated us like dirt that they cannot even bear to look. I have 5 days to fight for the Price Protection Guarantee. I asked for David Conant, owner of Norm Reeves, maybe a wishful thinking, but I want to tell him, his mission statement is a big lie! All I wanted was for them to honor what their ad said and to honor what was verbally promised. Every time I see my Honda Odyssey, it reminded me of the frustrating experience, the fact that I was deceived. I hope the money and commission they got from me will allow them better lives, that will allow them to sleep at night. IT IS AMAZING HOW MUCH THEIR PRINCIPLE IS WORTH. TO YOU NINO MORENOAND JOHN SALAMA THE MANAGER ,WE DID NOT HAVE ANY INTENTION TO RETURN THE VEHICLE. I ASKED IF YOU CAN AT LEAST COMPARE THE TWO VEHICLES (IF THEY ARE EVEN COMPARABLE- APPLES TO APPLES) AND SEE ABOUT THE PRICE PROTECTION, AND TO GIVE US THE 42K WORTH ODYSSEY THAT NINO SAID AS "DISCOUNT". YOU CANNOT EVEN DO THAT. More
