Our Pre-Owned Manager, Mr. Prawdzik, spoke with you shortly after your visit to apologize for the mistake and your inconvenience. I understand you were interested in a grey, pre-owned SRX. At that time, we had two, grey pre-owned SRX's in stock; one of which was fully detailed and prepped. Upon your arrival, the salesperson realized that the SRX of interest was the second SRX which not at the dealership. We made immediate arrangements to bring vehicle to the dealership,a task which took approximately 15 minutes. Again, we apologize for not having the correct SRX cleaned and ready for your inspection. We pride ourselves in providing the highest level of customer service as is evidenced by our Dealer Rater responses. Again, it was an unfortunate, unintentional mistake. In regard to the Draft from Navy Federal, Mr. Prawdzik explained that a draft from a Credit Union is not a guaranty of funds such as a Bank Check, Certified Check, or Wire Transfer. Banks treat a draft like any personal check. Most dealerships, when dealing with a check of a substantial amount, require a draft to clear and usable funds available in our account(which can take up to 8-10 business days) prior to the release of the vehicle. A sold vehicle would be released immediately upon presentation of a bank check or certified check. Our manager, after speaking in detail to you, offered to drive the SRX to you to prevent additional inconvenience. Again, we are truly sorry for any confusion. I do appreciate the fact that Mr. Prawdzik called and we did talk about what happened. Although, I don't agree with everything that Mr. Prawdzik said; he did offer to drive it up to CT. In the meantime, I found a better deal and bought a 2012 SRX from Long Cadillac in Southborough Mass. Another out of state buy, where I drove 1.5 hrs. to see and the car and deal was exactly has we had discussed per the internet and e-mail. They even took the same Navy Federal Credit Union check mentioned above and I drove home in my 2012 SRX the same day. All is good now.
