Fantastic Effort By My Saleswoman, and Staff Went on line just to browse their inventory, and I told myself I was just browsing. I did see a couple of vehicles that I liked ---- had everythi Went on line just to browse their inventory, and I told myself I was just browsing. I did see a couple of vehicles that I liked ---- had everything I wanted, and then some. I received an email the next day from my salesperson, Marilyn Caroll. Make a long story short --- I had made about 3 appointments to come in and "look-see" but had to cancel all 3 due to ill health. Bless her heart, Marilyn did not give up on me. During my illness, I spent numerous hours on NCAM's website looking and picking out vehicles that if I ever got well enough to get up to the dealership, I would want to look at. I even made a list of the cars I wanted to "look-see", and put them in sequential order. I did a "walk-about" on the lot before I went into the showroom and asked for Marilyn. Believe me, I have bought many cars in my lifetime, but have never dealt with someone in the field like Marilyn. She took charge. She took my list and started in with the car I indicated as my #1 pick. She found the car, put a dealer plate on it --- and told me to take a drive. I drove it for about 6 miles total, time wise, maybe I was gone for about 20 minutes (traffic was heavy). Ever get the feeling that the car you just test drove was meant for you??? That was what I felt for this 2016 Chevy Cruze. When I got back, Marilyn asked what did I think --- without hesitating for a second, I told her to throw the list away. We sat down and started in on the paper work. If you have ever had the pleasure of buying or trying to buy a new or used vehicle --- sometimes it is not pleasurable. We (Marilyn and myself) talked about what I wanted in the way of terms --- she excused herself and went up to the "booth", she came back and we reworked terms ---- you know, the dance you do when you are going thru purchasing a vehicle. After about 3 times --- the finance people, the bosses, and Marilyn all came in on line with MY terms and I had a deal. What a wonderful feeling that was. Would I return to NCAM??? Yes, yes I would. Would I recommend NCAM and Marilyn to my friends??? Better yet ---- I already recommended them to my family. And you know the old adage ---- don't recommend anyone or anything to family unless you want to have them disown you. More
