Anything to get you in the door. I worked with Gary for a week on a truck that I loved. We set an appointment for Saturday and even received an email from three different salesmen th I worked with Gary for a week on a truck that I loved. We set an appointment for Saturday and even received an email from three different salesmen the morning of stating they couldn't wait for me to see the vehicle. We drove 2 1/2 hours and when we got there "someone" had let a buyer put a deposit on the truck. Hey but there have other vehicles to show us!! Now the fun part....my girlfriend and I have email/called them and four different salesmen have stated that they would love to show us this truck and when can we come in. It's amazing how quickly they email you when they want you to come in to the dealership but when we replied stating this situation they refuse to even talk to you. I've never been treated like this in my life and I'll be contacting the BBB and possibly other parties to discuss this false advertising that is obviously their normal routine. **Update** I sent you an email in response to your reply. Drove 2 hours to have the car sold out from under me. I called the dealership on Friday, 10/14, to inquire if they had a particular car in stock. They did have the vehicle, and as I would be driving from I called the dealership on Friday, 10/14, to inquire if they had a particular car in stock. They did have the vehicle, and as I would be driving from out of town, asked if they could hold it for me. They agreed to, for a $400 deposit. I went ahead and did it, as I am in desperate need of a car, and as I would be driving from 200 miles away. The gentleman said I had an appointment with a salesman (Michael), and everything would be good to go. The following day my wife and I drove to the dealership, and upon arriving, I was sad to see it was a Buy Here Pay Here dealer, and it was a dirty, cramped, unorganized mess. I decided to give it a shot anyway. Upon walking in, there were maybe 15 customers getting taken care of in a 200 sq ft area, that was all open and lacked any privacy. We waited for about 5 minutes before someone asked if we needed something. I stated we were there to see Mike, and the salesman said he would call him. After another 10 minute wait, he came over and we started the process. We went out on a test drive without Mike, as he stated he was helping someone else, but when we would get back he would help us out. Well, during the test drive, the check engine light came on, and we decided to return to the dealer. Upon arriving, Mike immeadiately met us, and asked how it was. I said it was good, sans the check engine light, but I was still interested. He basically ignored me, and rushed me back inside, and asked if there was anything else that I would be interested in. I stated no, that the Mini I drove was the only car they had that I wanted. He then left me to "talk to his manager", which basically meant he left us for 15 minutes to go help another customer. When he came back he informed me that while we were on the test drive, they somehow sold the car that I not only put a deposit down on to hold, but was currently driving. I was completely blown away by this, and asked how that could happen. Mike proceeded to complain about another co worker for awhile to shift blame. He then left us again to talk to his manager, which again was to help another customer. This was no more than 10 ft away from us, and I could see him the entire time. When he finally came back, he asked us to move so he could sit the other customers in our seats, as he was trying to work their deal. He then asked if I had my card to refund the deposit. He took it, and left again for 10 minutes to process the refund. When he came back, he said if there was anything else he could help us with? Are you freaking kidding me? I stated that it was ridiculous that the car I put a deposit on was sold out from under me, and that he did absolutely nothing to help get me in another car, that he was working 3 sales at the same time. This dealer is a complete disaster. Horrible service, horrible location, complete lack of professionalism, and the absolute worst experience that I have ever had buying a car. If I hated somebody with an undying passion, I couldn't even bring myself to recommend this dealer. After reading other reviews, I am not the first, nor will I likely be the last, this will happen to. Absolutely do not recommend them. More
Pathetic Service for Buyers Initially fired an email off through Autotrader inquiring about the vehicle I was interested in. Got an automated response "from John Wayland" with p Initially fired an email off through Autotrader inquiring about the vehicle I was interested in. Got an automated response "from John Wayland" with proper grammar and formatting asking if I had any questions about the vehicle, to which I replied with the same questions I'd already asked via Autotrader. Got another response, this one with only two words, all caps, no punctuation, "I'LL CHECK". Received another automated response "from John Wayland", again with completely proper formatting and grammar, with some zinger like "we know you hear it so much it almost sounds insincere, but we really value your business", and again asking if I had any questions. I again replied with the same questions I'd asked twice already, to which I received another extremely brief punctuation-less response, "OK". For two more days, I continued to received obviously automated emails "from Mr. Wayland" with more trite pleasantries, continuing to ask if I had any questions, even though I'd yet to receive the answers to the questions I'd asked thrice already. I decided to call instead of email, hoping to get in touch with somebody else - who should answer the phone but John Wayland himself. I told him I had been emailing him, and at first he seemed to recognize me, but then proceeded to ask me which vehicle I was interested in, and if I had any questions. I reiterated myself once more, and he claimed he'd have an answer to me in a day or two. Unsurprisingly, I only continued to receive the perfectly punctuated emails which Mr. Wayland plainly had no hand in crafting himself. The punch line is that, in all of Mr. Wayland's emails, his title is "Internet Sales Professional". Clearly, an expert in his field... I ended up purchasing an identical vehicle from another seller who was infinitely more accommodating. More
