I went to the dealership with an idea as to what I wanted after researching online. Not only was Lorrie Whitehead informed about the Tiguan I was most interested in, but she also was very knowledgeable about after researching online. Not only was Lorrie Whitehead informed about the Tiguan I was most interested in, but she also was very knowledgeable about the model line. She was never too forward as far as trying to sell me on something I didn't want. I love my R Line Tiguan. More

We live an hour away so we called before going to dealership. We were told one price and interview rate on the phone and another at the store. Salesman did not care about us or our business. Professional and Courteous -- No Scams My sister needed a new vehicle and was finding nothing but scams and high pressure in Kansas City. An Independence Chevy dealer wanted to charge her $ My sister needed a new vehicle and was finding nothing but scams and high pressure in Kansas City. An Independence Chevy dealer wanted to charge her $1,000 for nitrogen in the tires of an Equinox, plus another $1,000 for clearcoat protection and still another $1,000 for some sort of immobilizer in case the car was stolen. And there was the interior Scotchguard at guess what price -- $1,000. Nothing like this happened when I bought my Hyundai at Northtowne, so we visited the Volkswagen store next door. Found a certified 2018 Jetta with 11,000 miles that was priced a little under retail. The car has been inspected and polished and looked like new -- even in the wheel wells and engine bay. The negotiation was professional and courteous and we were able to get a better price for her trade in. With the VW certification, the Jetta will be warrantied to 84,000 miles. I recognize when companies threat customers well and fairly to garner repeat business. It is a choice of the owner. It is so much easier to trade with such companies instead of the crooks who want to make the biggest score possible, knowing you will never come back. For fun, I may buy a $7 can of tire nitrogen at Walmart. Maybe I can sell it to that Chevy dealer for $500 profit. They seem to think it is pretty valuable. More
DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. I’ve literally only ever posted two google reviews and they are both on garbage dealerships. I wouldn’t ask anyone at this place to put water on me if I was on fire. This is posted two google reviews and they are both on garbage dealerships. I wouldn’t ask anyone at this place to put water on me if I was on fire. This is exactly why I bought from Lee Summit VW and not Northtowne. I figured for parts and service I would go here instead of driving all the way to Lee Summit bc it’s closer. WRONG!!! I placed a parts order and was told it would be in the next day. “That’s quick” I said to the guy over the phone and was told there was a fast turn around if ordered before noon. The same guy set me up with an appointment the next day. I came in, The parts weren’t there. No big deal really. Now. it takes a lot for me to get really upset, things happen, the service guy named Bobby (only decent guy there) was apologetic and explained that the warehouses were closed and he didn’t know why I was told they would be in. It was a waste of 2 hours of my day but the man assured me it would be handled, so I took his word and rescheduled. Came in the next day and I arrived 10 mins before my appointment and waited 45 mins and my car hadn’t even left the loading bay. This was after being told would take to hours to put the parts on. At this point I was starting to get pissed because they now they are wasting even more of my time. When I went to tell the other service guy named Barry what my issue was, he went to the service Manager Chris Stroud who flippantly brushes it off and chalked it up as “hey sorry man xxxx happens, oh well” and acted like it was no big deal and that I was overreacting. That sent me overboard. So then I call for the General Manager and spoke with Russ Fortner and he assured me he would rectify the situation, and that he would call me back. It’s been 5 days and not a word from him. All I wanted was some common courtesy or someone to say hey guy, we are running behind especially they already wanted my time previously. Nope, just got attitude from the Service dept. They don’t really care about their customers, It’s just about screwing people over. This is the xxxxxxx cut rate service you get from a dealership that already has a bad service reputation and poor work ethic. More
