2015 Honda Fit: Good price without accessories I recently bought a 2015 Honda Fit with 95000mi for $10k +900 or so in taxes/fees. A little high mileage but was bought new in Bellingham and stayed h I recently bought a 2015 Honda Fit with 95000mi for $10k +900 or so in taxes/fees. A little high mileage but was bought new in Bellingham and stayed here it's whole life. The online price said $9767, but when they first brought over the paper with what I'd be paying for it said $9900. They said it was a mistake, but I doubt it. All good though. I was able to negotiate away the Pulse brake light and VIN thing too by eventually signing a hand-written note saying I'd buy it right now if they took it off the bill. I bought it in full, but made the mistake of telling them that I had student loans. They tried to convince me at least five times to finance and use the rest of my saved up money to pay off part of my student loans. Overall it was a typical dealership experience but they were all pretty nice, down-to-earth, and were able to clearly explain everything. Had an overall positive experience since I was able to get those BS accessories off the bill. They explained why they did this, and I understand their strategy, to post an aggressively low price online to get people in the door and then add on those accessories that they probably charge way more for than it takes to install to get a profit. But again, they're negotiable and I was able to get them off the bill. More
