Typical Car Dealership My wife and I went in to trade our car in for a larger vehicle. We came in knowing the blue book value of the car. After choosing the vehicle we wante My wife and I went in to trade our car in for a larger vehicle. We came in knowing the blue book value of the car. After choosing the vehicle we wanted to go with, we sat down with one of the sales people. The man admitted to knowing our current car's value, but pleaded repeatedly that we would agree to trade it for less so that it would be a better profit for them. They did what every dealership does and left our table to "talk to a manager for permission." Every time he returned we stated that we liked the larger vehicle, but we weren't trading our vehicle for less than it was worth. After leaving our table 8 TIMES, we got up to leave saying we were done with this nonsense. After arriving home, Johnny Bloxom texted us and said they had agreed on our car's value and we could come back. I agreed that we would on the condition that there would be no more "negotiating." He agreed, so we came and traded in our car. The entire experience was souring and it's unfortunate that dealerships operate like this and are known for it. For Johnny's part, he was fine, but the entire experience was still souring. More
