My salesperson went through a lot of effort for me to be able to drive the cars I were interested in, in terrible weather I might add. The managers were very accommodating, coming up with different options for me to choose from when buying my car. Used, lease, and buying new were all explored. Everybody was very friendly, and made what can be a stressful event, painless. Jeff in finance was awesome. I'd hang out and have a beer with him. Great guy. More

I worked with Lynn who was an absolute professional and was extremely pleasant, in fact he was fun to work with. The finance manager was just as pleasant and professional! I ended up with a great vehicle and felt confident in my decision to purchase it from Tarbox. More

Somewhere where it wont be such a hassle to get your registration and plates even after you and th ebank have paid everything. My husband and I drove down on January 21st to purchase a vehicle. He lives in Pennsylvania, I live in New York. We had done our research and decided to travel 3 hours for a car that was worth it and good. We got the 201 hyundai elantra coupe. Love it. However, the car had to be registered and get Pennsylvania plates. Since the day after we drove the car back to NY. We had both been following up on when we were supposed to receive the registration and what happened with the plates. No one seemed to know any information. My anxiety kept rising since the dealer plates expire on February 8th. A week later I spoke to a sales manager. He had indicated that due to the two snow storms they have had, their system wasnt running yet and I should try again the next day. I gave him two days, when I called back to speak to him I was instead trasnferred to a finance specialist who seemed to understand more of what was going on, he had indicated they needed a copy of my husbands license again so he could overnight it to take care of the processing for the registartion and everything. Not to mention that everyday my husband also called to speak to our dealer and he was either too busy to call back or respond or he had no clue what was going on. I finally faxed over the copy of the license and the finance specialist informed me that he had gotten it to print and would overnight it immediately. Seemed all was good. Think again. I gave it a day. Day after I emailed the finance specialist to see what had happened. He was out of the office today and advised me to call the sales department again. Thats when, as they say, the it hit the fan. I finally got in contact with the dealer and he said that the sales manager told him that they had sent us paperwork to NY and it was signed in the wrong place and wasnt notarized. WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING OR GOTTEN ANY SORT OF COMMUNICATION FROM THEM, IF ANYTHING WERE THE ONES CONSTANTLY FOLLOWING UP!!!! I informed him of this and he was clueless as to what is happening. I called my husband because we are both at work and have had to take time to try and figure this out and confirmed again, WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ONE BIT OF COMMUNICATION AS TO WHATS GOING ON!!! We conference called the dealer once again and he did not have a single clue as to why there was so much issue with our registration or plates. They had already gotten approved and paid out by the bank over a week ago and gladly cashed my down payment, yet we were on the verge of not being able to drive since the car wouldnt have plates past sunday. He got us over to another manager and the manager indicated that he wasnt sure why the registration was having issues, the paperwork was incorrect, theres is nothing that could be done. The paperwork was all filled out on January 21st when we were there, as i had been calling in the following weeks the other sales manager had informed me we were not on the registraion issues list and everything should be processed soon. Now all of a sudden we were screwed. At this point I got furious because it seemed like they honestly didnt care bit and werent worried about having this taken care of as soon as possible. I demanded to know what was going to happen and i informed them that as of sunday, we wouldnt be able to drive the car since it didnt have plates. The constant response was "i dont know". They "couldnt" give us new dealer plates or even have them extended. They didnt care. They werent worrying about it. DO NOT GO HERE!! Even if you have to pay a little more for a car. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!! More

Awesome car buying experience My husband and I have been researching car brands, safety ratings, price, etc. in order to purchase a car for our 16 year old daughter. We saw a 2014 My husband and I have been researching car brands, safety ratings, price, etc. in order to purchase a car for our 16 year old daughter. We saw a 2014 vehicle that we liked on the Tarbox Hyundai website and decided to check it out. Our first point of contact via telephone was Andrew Potter. He listened to our concerns and put us in touch with the sales team at the Dealership. We made an appointment on Friday 1/16/2015 and met Sherman Petersen. Sherman has a larger than life personality and awesome smile. He completely put us at ease and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We told him what we were looking for, we test drove the vehicle, he answered all of our questions, and that was it. Our finance guru was Mahmoud Shawish......a master with numbers and all around super awesome guy. He made us feel completely at ease and got us out of there in a timely fashion so that we could go grab dinner and check on the kids. We were so happy with our first car buying experience on Friday, that we went back the following Monday (1/19/2015) and bought another new car. I decided to trade in my Mercedes E350 (yes folks, I traded in my Mercedes) and bought a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport. The Sonata has more features/options than my Mercedes, as well as more room for the family. I no longer have to fill my tank with premium octane.....and the the gas mileage on the Sonata is amazing. Once again, we met with Sherman and he tagged team with Mahmoud to get to the numbers we wanted on our trade and financing.....thereby executing a mutually beneficial transaction for us and the dealership. I cannot tell you how pleased we are with our purchases and overall experience at Tarbox Hyundai. We look forward to working with them in the future. Jim & Kate O'Donovan More
