Brian, We ended up leasing the same car through Herb Connolly and had a great experience. I am disappointed in my dealings with Scott/Clark/Jennifer. I thought we had a "done deal" and then when I came in to sign the papers on Saturday 2/11 at 9am, Scott/Clark decided to use this as a time to START negotiating. Scott offered my wife one deal on 1/28 and couldn't even offer the same deal on 2/11. When he tried tacking on all new charges I was about to walk out and then I asked if they could give me the deal I was told by Jennifer and he checked with his manager and said "no". Then to think I didn't understand the numbers was an insult as I have my MBA with a Finance concentration and I wasn't even going to drive the car so the ONLY thing I cared about was the price. I wouldn't have "mis-heard" anything regarding price. I would rather pay more and deal with honest people than pay less and deal with liars. I do feel a little bit better that you seem to care now but not sure why nobody cared enough to honor a deal I thought we had when I came down to sign the final paperwork. I stand by my review and will encourage others to NOT use Clay for their shady business practices.

Don, I understand your frustration, however, I am sure that you are aware that incentives and programs change from month to month. The deal on 1/28 was either explained as good through the month of January only. If it wasn't, I apologize for the miscommunication. We here at Clay are rather honest people and try to give customers a good experience and hassle-free pricing. That being said, I am sorry that we couldn't come to an agreement. Is there anything we can do, despite your purchase elsewhere, to rectify this situation? We would like to earn your business in the future and do not want to leave a bad taste in your mouth. Perhaps the deals change monthly but that wouldn't change the numbers that Jennifer quoted me on 2/9 and 2/10. I went over the deal I thought we had with her on 2/9 and 2/10 and then the deal started changing when Clark and Scott were introduced. I only came down to sign the final papers and this all was sprung on me at the last second. Maybe most people would just relent but I refuse based on principal. I'm amazed how many people on your end wasted their time and obviously I'm more upset about ME wasting my time on this. I will be shopping online going forward to avoid situations like this in the future.
