Wish I had gone to Boch years ago!! After doing a lot of research on small SUV/Crossovers, I was really tossed between the Mazda CX-5 Touring and the RAV-4 XLE. My current car was a Mazda and I wanted to stay Mazda as my Mazda 3 treated me very well for 6 years. However I left all options open. On 4-19-14, we stopped in after testing a KIA Sportage (ugh) we took the RAV-4 out. Before we even stepped into the car Lam explained all the features inside and out before even starting the car. Let me say this went miles as the KIA salesman could have cared less we were even there let alone point out any features. So we took the test drive, informing Lam that was all we were doing that day as we still wanted to try the Mazda, which I was saving for last as I thought the Mazda would have been our last stop and final destination. I could not have been more wrong. We test drove the CX-5 on 4-26-14 and although it was a very hard leaving the Mazda behind, I thought, why am I going to want the Mazda which was front wheel drive, no sunroof, no heated mirrors, no dual climate control, no cargo cover, and no two years maintenance. I thought hello dummy, get over to Toyota and get that RAV-4 with all those features for the same price. We headed straight to Boch directly from Mazda's lot. Having Lam as our salesperson, was priceless. I am very glad we ran into him when we first took our test drive. He was extremely friendly, very knowledgeable, and looked after our best interests. We were so comfortable with Lam, it was like a friend of ours was selling the car to us. Not once did we feel pressured at all. Once negotiations were over, he handed us over to Charles in finance who explained everything to us, all sorts of optional ways of financing the vehicle and came up with something that worked for us. Charles was very pleasant, easy going, and just nice to talk to. Sunday came to pickup the car, Lam gave us a complete tour of the entire facility, which was beyond anything I had ever seen. The sheer size, the cleanliness, etc.. are indescribable. Once the car was done with detailing we once again went over every nook and cranny of that vehicle. When Lam was putting my license plate on, he had noticed a large, deep scratch on the rear lift gate, which made him mad, as the detailers did not inform him of this. He went a got some touch-up paint for us, but then decided, NO, the detailers should fix this. So he brought the car back for them to fix the scratch, but it was too deep. He has arranged for me to go in on Wednesday, while the paint-pro is there to get it rectified. He told us if I had any problems with anyone to call his cell phone and he would talk to whoever he would need to to make it right. Overall this was the best experience I have ever had by far at any dealership, and I have bought four new cars in my life from four different makes. We already have Lam in our sights for when my wife's car needs replacing, which I hope he will still be there. (Hold onto him, he's a keeper!!) Internet sales manager sent me a great offer. I show up at the dealership after being in daily contact with them and it's sold. If the deal ever really did exist they should have at the very least informe at the dealership after being in daily contact with them and it's sold. This was the first time I had bought a car through a dealership and wasn't really sure what to expect. I was leary of the stereotypical salesman tricks. When we first met Lam, I knew we had a great sale dealership and wasn't really sure what to expect. I was leary of the stereotypical salesman tricks. When we first met Lam, I knew we had a great salesman to work with. He was so friendly, genuine and honest with us. He was so helpful during the entire process, from the test drive to signing the papers. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy a new vehicle. We also worked with Pablo for the finance portion and he was great to us too. He made sure to describe everything to us and made sure there were no surprises. Once again, I would highly recommend Boch Toyota South to anyone looking to buy a vehicle. More
First, the BDC team was incredible at Boch Toyota South. I emailed for a quote on the 2014 Toyota Highlander XLE and got a response right away from Meghan. She gave me the information I needed, including the fact that while the inventory was very low they had some vehicles incoming. After visiting other Toyota dealerships closer to home, I could not get a quote on the vehicle anywhere as close to Boch Toyota South's quote. The fact that Meghan was so responsive on the phone and on email was fantastic. After finding us an incoming vehicle with the right color combination, we agreed to come in the next morning to put down a deposit. When we arrive, Meghan greets us and introduces us to Mark Nelson who would be our salesman. (I guess the BDC team are hourly/salary workers not based on commission and the salesmen are the ones who get commission on any sales. I'd have to guess the BDC team gets some sort of kickbacks or bonuses for how many people they can get brought in though.) Mark was helpful in explaining the rest of the process: 1) we put down a deposit for the car, 2) come back when car arrives and test drive it to make sure we want it, 3) if we decide we want it, then do financing, 4) come back to pick up car after it's registered and inspected. Everything seemed on the up and up, and while the quote was the lowest around, I did try to get a few other items thrown in but with no avail. So we put the deposit down and wait for the car to arrive. (We were told Monday or Wednesday of the following week.) I get impatient by Wednesday morning and I email Meghan to get Mark's info (I didn't have it in front of me) and I get a response rather quickly from Meghan's boss who informs me that Meghan is out, however my car is indeed at the dealership. I try to reach out to Mark to setup a time that night to look at the car but it takes me multiple emails and phone calls before I get a hold of him and to confirm the car is actually there. We make an appointment for 6pm. Now this is the only part of our experience that was a bit sour. We arrive before six with our toddler son. We sit down and feed him dinner and Mark tells us to take our time. I go on the test drive with Mark while my wife hangs back with our son. The test drive goes very smoothly and when we get back to the dealership, we both decide we like it enough to move forward. Mark tells us he's off to get the finance guy and we wait...and wait...and wait. For over an hour we are waiting with a toddler who is very near his bedtime. And honestly, our son was behaving very well, not screaming or crying, but enjoying the dealership and like walking/running around the cars. I track down Mark to see what the problem is, and he tells me the finance guy we are suppose to meet is busy right now. I tell him I can work with any finance person, I don't really care. This is the main crux of the problem: we made an appointment and were there on time. If we just walked in and had to wait, then I could understand. What's the point of making a freaking appointment then? After being told it'll only be a few more minutes, we keep waiting...and waiting...and waiting, until the front desk people ask us if we need help. I tell them the situation, and they go get Mark who then lets us get seen by a different finance person. Once in the finance room, we spend maybe 30 minutes and we are all done. This is what I don't get. It was so quick and painless once we were seen, why did it take so long and why did we have to wait for one specific person? If we had an appointment, why was that person working with someone else? If we were a no-show, I could understand, but we were on time (actually early!) Anyway, after that we were all set. We had to come back a couple of days later to pick up and that went very smoothly. Mark showed us the car and went over some features with the help of another salesman who was more technically inclined that showed us all the phone connections,etc. Mark explained all the items for service and warranty and everything else, gave us our keys and that was it. Overall I'd say it was a decent experience. I'd recommend Boch Toyota South mainly for their BDC team and for their prices. Then again, I knew what car I exactly wanted (trim, options, etc) and was basically an easy customer for the salesman. No need to convince me or negotiate with me, since I already did that at other dealerships. Maybe I was expecting too much just because we had an appointment, but having to wait for over an hour to do the financing seems ridiculous. More
On Thursday, February 27, I arrived at the dealership early and shown around. Lam was my salesperson who was very friendly and considerate. I had been in an accident a few weeks before so there were a few issues I had to deal with which had nothing to do with the dealership, just things that needed to be straightened before hand. Everyone worked very hard to help me get through it. Lam took me on a long test drive which was both highway and rural so I would get the feel of the vehicle I was looking at. Even though I was there all day Lam checked on me and kept me updated on the progress of the lease status. All in all the experience was pleasant and relatively painless. I would definitely return to this dealership and will recommend it to friends and family. Susan More
My overall leasing experience was excellent and very easy, painless. Lam went out his way to accomodate my mom with her new Toyota.
