We went to Tarbox Toyota with the intention of test driving a pre-owned Camry. We did indeed test drive a Camry but also a Carolla. I fell in love with the Carolla. When it came down to the pricing n driving a pre-owned Camry. We did indeed test drive a Camry but also a Carolla. I fell in love with the Carolla. When it came down to the pricing negotiations we decided on purchasing a new 2011 Toyota Carolla. The team of Matt and Dave was quite enjoyable. I felt very comfortable around them. Dave was very knowledgeable and quite helpful. You could ask them anything and they were more than happy to answer all out questions. We had bought a pre-owned Camry a few years ago, and with the experience we had this past week with the purchase of the Carolla, we will definitely be back in the future. More
My wife and I both bought 2010 vehicles this year (2011) from Tarbox. She got an excellent deal on a Prius which has saved us a lot on gas already. I traded in my old Subaru for a RAV4. I got a fair pric from Tarbox. She got an excellent deal on a Prius which has saved us a lot on gas already. I traded in my old Subaru for a RAV4. I got a fair price on my trade and a very competitive price on the RAv4. Financing was also easy. Dave and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable, honest and easy to deal with. We feel a lot more comfortable at Tarbox than at other RI dealerships we have visited and will probably buy another vehicle there in the future. More

I received a phone call from Tarbox and the caller said they had an interest in my current leased Toyota Venza. The would allow me to turn in my lease before the due date in April, 2012 and lease me a new they had an interest in my current leased Toyota Venza. The would allow me to turn in my lease before the due date in April, 2012 and lease me a new 2011 Venza at a cheaper rate than my current lease. It only took one visit to talk to the salesman, Mr. Brodeur, and the Asst. Sales Manager to strike an acceptable deal with which I am very pleased. Everyone at Tarbox was extremely friendly and courteous including the person who handled the financing. Mr. Brodeur was especially helpful. I will continue to do business with Tarbox. More
Mitch Carter was very knowlegeable about numerous features on the Venza I purchased. This resulted in my specifying the exact equipment and options I wanted. This model was not available on the Tarbo features on the Venza I purchased. This resulted in my specifying the exact equipment and options I wanted. This model was not available on the Tarbox lot (Red, AWD, V-6, Sunroof) but Mitch quickly arranged for a dealer transfer, and within 2 days I drove the car off the lot. I was also impressed by the followup service offered at the Tarbox dealership. I have been driving the Venza for 2 weeks and am very pleased. The car has elicited numerous favorable comments from friends and "people on the street": e.g. "what kind of car is that - it's beautiful!". The Venza attracted me because of the styling. I have owned 4 Toyotas and the decision was made based upon the fact that the Venza contains tried and true Camry components and systems. I applaud Toyota for designing such attractive bodywork. I feel that too many Toyota models have uninspired syling. For example, the Venza was parked next to a Highlander, which I considered boxy and bland. I would be more attracted to a Kia Sorento or Ford (Edge?). More
Nothing negative to say about the sales Rep. Anthony Turchetta, he was very friendly, well mannered and a true professional. The overall service ( meaning the dealership ) would have been outstandi Turchetta, he was very friendly, well mannered and a true professional. The overall service ( meaning the dealership ) would have been outstanding however the waiting around/ stalling was "IMHO" a little unreasonble. I would recommended Tarbox to a friend or relitive but also feel obligated to warn them and note "buyer beware" for reasons listed below. Make no mistake, Tarbox is like any other dealership! You'll still have to deal with the typical car salesmen pitches, buying pressure that must be driven into their heads with a bully bat. Note: Once you show the least bit interest in one of the cars and walk inside the door, they're going to do everything possible to sell you that car before you leave. After an hour or two, "when you've just about had enough" and just want to go home and think about it, here comes the famous pitch that's must come right out of the salesman's handbook " what will it take to sell you this car today?" To me, that was nearly the deal breaker and I was very close to walking. Anyway, my wife wanted the car so we bought. Now for the hidden fees! Be carefull, they shove all kinds sur-charges/fees right up your wazoo when it's time to sign the final paper work so bring a tube of KY Jelly with you. Some of the fees like the application or any processing fees should be absorbed by the dealership and not passed on to the consumer. The large lump sum like the sales tax is all we should worry about. Now for the add-ons. 5 year Bumper to bumper warranty $1900.00 which is somewhat reasonable however the car we bought was only 2 yrs old with 26,000 miles so it's somewhat overpriced. I guess the Toyota Corp's factory warranty has been surpassed buy their competitors. Electronic or transponder key protection I think it was like $399.00 : Should you lose your key and need to replace it *really* We just spent $19K with these people and they have the nerve to slap this in our face. I wonder how many people get sucked into that. Anyway, *stay clear* this is just another way for them to get into your pockets, the list will never end so haul a$$ out of there ASAP. If you need a transponder key just go to www.ikeyless.com ( our transponder key if needed is only $19.95 ) Bring the blank to a Locksmith not the dealership to have cut and programmed. Total price should not exceed $50.00. Lastly: If your car does not come equipped with auto start you will have to have it installed by someone they recommend or you could void your warranty. $400.00 I believe was the quote which is about doubled the average price. Perhaps some kickback involved. More
It was a pleasure doing business at Tarbox. Our salesman, Bill Derby, was more than helpful and knowledgeable in our purchase of our Avalon. I just bought a highlander and couldn't be happier. The car was delivered within 2 days and was exactly what I wanted. The whole transaction went smoothly. I would definitely go here again to buy a car. car was delivered within 2 days and was exactly what I wanted. The whole transaction went smoothly. I would definitely go here again to buy a car. Everyone was very friendly! My husband bought a car (not a Toyota) from a different dealership a few months ago and the whole experience was horrible. It made me appreciate how easy it was to work with this dealership. More
Mitchell is easy to talk with, quick with answers, and quickly provides any information asked for. The sale went quickly and very smooth. I realize this is to the advantage of the dealership.
