Unexpectedly I had my vehicle towed on a Sunday the driver left my keys in the service dropbox. They called me on Monday before noon with an estimate for repair. Took my truck up for a recall and check engine light concern. Asked them to look into the A/C issue and I was told the fan belt was off and shredded. I asked how that happened and I was told they dont k concern. Asked them to look into the A/C issue and I was told the fan belt was off and shredded. I asked how that happened and I was told they dont know. Was quoted $250 for a fan belt so I decided to just take care of it myself. When I removed the air intake boot, I found the fan belt tensioner was melted and locked up, something the tech should have found when they discovered the belt. Took the truck back up the next morning and when I told the service advisor that I was charged $150 to be told we dont know why your belt came off, only for me to find out why in 15 minutes, I was given an apology and told that the $150 was to be reembursed to me. They contacted my extended warranty company and was told the tensioner was not covered. At this point I was told the dealership would take care of it, using the drive belt that I bought. When I came to pick it up, I was told that I was only getting back $50, not $150, as the $100 is what I would have paid for a deductible. This is NOT what I was told, and is complete xxxxxxxx. I am grateful they fixed my truck, but to tell me you are refunding me $150 only to turn around and say youre only getting back $50 after your tech screwed up is unbelievible. More
