WORST buying experience ever!! Was quoted one price, then later told that they had given me the incorrect price and the actual price was almost $5000 more than the orginal price I was quoted. I told them I was not interested in that price, so they said they would go ahead and honor the original price quoted. I was excited because I thought they were being honorable! HA! I called my husband to bring the down payment and sign the paperwork, they told him the second price. We finally brought them back down to the original price again. They had just received the car on trade the day before, so agreed that I could bring it back for an oil change and wash/detail. The next day, I went back to have the work done. They kept me sitting in the waiting room for 5 1/2 hours with a 3 year old and a 4 month old (who was recovering from surgery). Never offered me a ride home or a loaner car. Finally told me my car was ready and I went to load my kids in the car, and I pulled out a rock the size of my fist from under the seat. They clearly had not detailed the car. I sent it back 4-yes FOUR-times to have it vacuumed properly (another hour and a half of my itme wasted). When I got home, I realized there was white dog hair on the back of the 3rd row seats that had been folded down. Took it back again the next day and demanded to stand over them and watch to see that they vacuumed the car out. Meanwhile, while we were trying to get the car insured, come to find out they had put the wrong VIN number on all the paperwork. Not just a few numbers mixed up-they had the whole thing wrong! So, my husband had to go back in to re-sign paperwork which they did not have ready when they said they would. Also, in the sale agreement they agreed to replace the windshield which had a small chip in it. When I called to set up the work, they tried to renig and say they were only going to seal the chip. I would NEVER recommend O'Meara and wish I would have done more research on their business practices before making my purchase. As it was, I was in a bind to get a new vehicle and ended up settling for where I bought. More

I filed a complaint with this dealer rater because I had a dissagreement with the service department. We have now reached an agreement that I am satisifed with, and I have no further issues with Omeara Ford a dissagreement with the service department. I wish I had never even stopped at this dealership!! This was probably the worst experience of my life. I was looking for a "beater" SUV. I had $4000 cash to spend was not going to trade-in my vehicle. Basic was probably the worst experience of my life. I was looking for a "beater" SUV. I had $4000 cash to spend was not going to trade-in my vehicle. Basically I was looking for a 3rd car to haul my dogs and get me thru the snow if it got really bad. When I got to O'Mears I was greeted by Carlos, who it turns out is not the "sharpest tool in the shed" to put it politely. I told him what I was looking for and he says "Ok great, we got just what you are looking for" he asked for my drivers license so we could test drive. He then takes me to a car with a sticker price of $16,000!!! I said..."wait a minute I told you I have $4000 to spend". Carlos' responce to me was "Oh dont worry we will work with you just drive it". So we went for a test drive and the car was OK. It needed an alignment and had a "clunking" sound under the drivers feet. When we got back to the dealership Carlos asked for my car keys to my original vehicle so "he could get me a great trade-in price". Well that was a mistake!! Carlos comes back in and brings over a sheet of paper that has some numbers on it...He said they could get me financed at a great rate and low monthly payments. So I toyed with the idea for a while and ended up getting pressured into a car deal that I was not ready to commit to. In the process Carlos wanted to "show his manager how serious" I was and asked for on of my credit cards that had the $4000 on in. I refused to give it to him, told him that was ridiculous and he got in my face. I felt so uncomfortable and pressured I just gave it to him. I ended up signing all the paperwork that night (unfortunatly) and they gave me a "loaner" car so they could do the alignment and fix the rattle underneath the car I was apparently buying. Well the loaner car they gave me didn't start the next morning! That gave me horrible confidence in the vehicle I was purchasing. I went back to the dealership and told them I wanted out of the deal, which should not have been a problem as I had not even taken possession of the vehicle. They got Richard a manager for me to talk to. He told me that I was stuck with the vehicle, I signed all the paperwork and there was no way to let me out of it. He said that I had already been approved thru the financing company and they had recieved payment from the financing company. He then proceded to tell me that he wished he could let me out of the deal because one of the sales guys had a friend that wanted to buy the car for more than I had paid...A friend of mine who works for a finance company said I should have been able to get out of the deal for the simple fact that i didn't take possession of the vehicle...I do not know if that is true or not. I asked my friend to speak with Richard since that stuff was a little over my head I assumed he would know what to say better than me. So I called my friend and gave the phone to Richard they began arguing...Richard hung up the on my frined and told me "I am done helping you, you need to get the f*^% out of here". So I took the keys to the new car and left. Well come to find out 4 days later they still have not found me a bank that will take on the loan and I am not approved yet...So they have my trade-in vehicle (I hope) and I have this vehicle that is not financed yet. All in all I would never send someone to this dealership, they are all lyers and as crooked as they come...I hope this all works out for me!! Yesterday, my mother and I drove past O'Meara dealership on our way to Mike Shaw Subaru. The guy we were working with let us go and we ended up going to NGL, where we were also told we would be unable to buy a car to fit our $3000 budget. We decided to try O'Meara, since it was a rather large, and well maintained looking dealership. We were shown a Chrysler Sebring, and a couple other cars, that we were told would not run over $3500. After we did a test run on the Sebring, we decided that if they could give us a good deal on the car, then we would take it. The man we were working with took us inside to talk figures. He took out this sheet of paper, and out of nowhere, told us the list value for the car is $9888, even though the car had a respectable amount of cosmetic damage. He said that, hypothetically, we worked the price down to $4000 and asked us if that was a reasonable price. My mother assured him that $3000 was our budget, and we were unable to spend any more since we needed to pay the car in cash. He took the price down to $3500, then $3250, and since my mother and I kept saying no, he asked what price we wanted for the car. We told him, flat out, that we were going to pay $3000 even though we had already stated that several times. He then said all right, and told my mother he needed to take her credit card to verify that we did have a "means of payment". Well, after he left with my mother's credit card, a second man came by with the same sheet and told us that we were offering too little for the car. He said that his "boss" would only let us take 4k or so off the list price, making the FINAL price of the car $5260. We said that was absolutely out of our budget, so he tried to offer the car to us for $4000. At this point, my mother realized that they took her credit card and did a credit check, and saw that since my parents both have good credit, they would try to get away with charging us more. After we told the second guy absolutely not, he left. After waiting around for a few more minutes, a third man came to our table. He reeked of cigarettes and was wearing blue jeans and a ski jacket. He tried making small talk with us for a while before leaving and grabbing a sheet of paper that he printed off the dealership's database. He showed us that the dealership valued the car at around $4200. It wouldn't have been so hilarious if he didn't just blatantly prove to my mother and I that the other two employees had been lying to us the entire time about the value of the car. He told us that he could possibly get us the car for $3700, but he'd be doing us a "huge favor". At this point, my mother was so furious she just wanted to get her credit card and leave, so she kept politely asking for her card back. He was refusing and begging us to work with him because our business is apparently extremely valuable to them. She and I walked up to the front desk and asked for our credit card, where he continually begged us to work with him. We walked out, and the first man that showed us the car and offered us the price of $3500 ran out of the dealership and chased us to our vehicle, and said he would "honor" our $3500. We said no, and when we got home we were met with a message begging us to come back to the dealership, where we can get the car for $3000. Don't ever give these crooks your business. More

I did alot of research for the past month and a half trying to find a used Ford Explorer and finally found one I became very interested in online at O'Meara's Website.I decided to pay them a visit and l trying to find a used Ford Explorer and finally found one I became very interested in online at O'Meara's Website.I decided to pay them a visit and look at the vehicle but found DealerRatings.com and after reading a few horror stories changed my mind about looking at the vehicle they had listed. I did however go to Spradley Barr in part because they had excellent reviews but was unable to find a vehicle I was interested in. Against my better judgement I finally went to O'meara to look at the Explorer I had seen online. When I arrived (with my guard up) I was greeted by one of the salesmen who at first struck me as a little over-enthusiastic. As I spoke with him about the Explorer that I had seen online and gave him the stock number. He dissapeared for a few minutes and when he came back told me that that vehicle had been sold the day before. I was extremely dissapointed and ready to leave when he insisted he had others just like it and urged me to look at the inventory. I was there so I figured I would give him the benefit of the doubt. (still with my guard up) I was very impressed with the selection and found one I actually liked better and wanted to know the price which he seemed reluctant to give me. It turns out that it was much more than the one I had seen advertised online but he assured me that if liked it he would make a similar deal on it.I played along and to make a long story short I bought the vehicle for 1200 more than the one I had seen online but it had 17000 less miles and a sunroof so I was very happy. My credit was not the best so they told me 12.9% was the best I could get and I figured that was fair so I took the Explorer home that night. Four days later the finance manager called me and told me that I needed to come back in. I thought to myself "here we go" because of the reviews I had read on this site I was sure that this was going to get ugly and prepared myself for the worst. I went back in and was told that the lender had approved my loan at two points lower than I had been told and had to sign new contracts if I wanted my payment to go down. Of coarse I ran with it and am completely happy with everything they did with me. At one point I told Andy about the negative reviews I had read on this website about O'Meara and his response was "We sell around 300 units a month and it is impossible to keep everyone happy, people who are angry with us write several reviews online trahing their name but satisfied customers rarely write good reviws." This is why I am writing this today. I will tell everyone I know to buy a vehicle from this dealer and I hope anyone who reads these reviews will se this one good review. More

I went in to buy a new truck. When I pulled in there was a lot of salesmen out side, a little intimidating, but they were very nice. My wife and I decided to buy from him the next day. He showed us everything about the truck and called a couple days later to see if we had any questions. My experience at Omeara for is by far the worst experience I have ever had a car dealership. Recently my wife and went to the dealership and bought a 2009 Ford Flex. We spent several hours of negotiation. We received a call from the dealership 4 days later stating that they had overcharged us by $200 and needed to come in and resign paperwork. I asked Richard Roth , Sales Manager, if this meant that we had to bring in more money or would experience an increase in payment. Mr Roth assured me that it was negative on both. He stated that we only need to come in and correct where the dealer overcharged us. Upon receiving the new paperwork we noticed an increase in our monthly payment. I questioned the increase and became very agitated. Richard Roth became highly agitated and advised me to shut and listen to what I had to say. He advised me that he did not care about what I had to say and proceeded to yell at me and to stop talking about things that I did not understand. My wife that was sitting next to me was appalled. We wanted to go ahead and sign these papers because of the irrate sales manager . Mr. Roth offered us 5 free oil changes at 29.99 to make up for an increase in payments the next 6 years. LOL I have never been treated so unprofessionally. I advise not to go to this dealership. Unhappy customer. More

On 7/31/10, my family & I went to O’Meara Ford. I had originally set up an appointment in the internet department, but that person had to leave on an emergency. We found this out 15 minutes after we sat down in the showroom & Ken Ferguson came up to us, introduced himself & said he would be assisting us today. We told Ken what we were looking for, a minivan or large SUV to fit a family of 5. Ken was very snooty, condescending & rude through the whole process. Ken showed us a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country. We looked through out the vehicle, loved it & went for a test drive. Right before we test drove it, we asked for a car fax when we returned from the test drive. My husband & I fell in love with the van & decided to purchase. As we got back to the showroom, we reminded Ken that we wanted a car fax again. After asking 7 more times during the process, we finally got one. We told Ken what payment we could afford, what we could put down in cash & that we were trading in my 98 Dodge Caravan. 30 minutes later, Ken came back & stated that we could not be financed because it was 8:30pm & all the banks were closed. We got the family packed up & were ready to leave when Ken & his sales manager Freddie returned asking us where we were going & that they got us approved & we could go home with the Town & Country. That next Friday, we got a phone call from O’Meara to call them back. When I finally got a hold of someone, it was stated that the financing had changed & we had to go back in to resign the paperwork. Little did we know that when we got back to O’Meara, that we would have to return the 08 Chrysler. They informed us that the financing had gone through. We asked to get our 98 Dodge back, to which the 2nd chance financing manager, Brian John, stated that we would have to pay around 3000 dollars to get the 98 Dodge back & it was even hinted that the car was not available to us right away, but that we would have to wait a week to get it back. They informed us they did get approval for a 05 Dodge Caravan SXT. This van had massive crack in the windshield, the engine had been completely redone, the tires are at about 40% tread life remaining & the power window on the driver side struggled to go up & down. We were informed we would have to take the 05 Dodge as is, with no new tires, no new windshield, & no mention of fixing the power window. We knew we had no choice but to take the 05 Dodge. We took it home & noticed the next morning that the car was completely dirty & had not been detailed. I called Brian John & he agreed to have the car detailed the next time we were in the dealership. On 8/27/10, my power window stopped working. I called Brian John as well as the service department to get this fixed. When I showed up at my appointment the next morning, no one had a clue who I was, sent me home, & never called me back after leaving several messages. More
