This was the best experience buying a car! This was the 8th time buying a car. I bought a 2019 Subaru BRZ from Ocean Subaru of Fullerton. I have been looking for a BRZ for awhile and found one online at Oc 8th time buying a car. I bought a 2019 Subaru BRZ from Ocean Subaru of Fullerton. I have been looking for a BRZ for awhile and found one online at Ocean Subaru. I used the Sam's Club car buying app to get the ball started. Using the app, saved me $400. I started out with the online sales rep who handed my deal off to Curtis. The car had just come in and had not been inspected or cleaned. They let me know that I would not be able to take it home that day. My son and I did test drive it - so fun! Now it was time to make the deal. I hate this part because I always feel like I'm being taken for a proverbial ride. I worked with Curtis, Son and Steven. They gave me an incredible deal. Nothing to haggle about just choices. They even made the choices a great deal. I used my trade in for the week while they certified, fixed the scraped fender, scratches, etc. and repainted the car. Everyone had a part in getting my car perfect - the Vice President, Sales Manager, Finance Manager, Sales, Service. (Sorry if I missed someone). Curtis even came into work on his day off to make sure I would have my car on time and as promised. I picked up my car a week ago Friday. My car was absolutely beautiful when they were done with it! I have never bought a car that everything about it made me happy! Trade in, car itself, deal, warranties, etc. This was truly an amazing car buying experience! Let's be honest, how often do you really hear that? Love the people at Ocean Subaru, they treat you extremely well and they are all part of the experience! More

0 stars - finance department has horrible customer service. They never pick up or return calls, even after months of attempt. Had to come in person (during this pandemic which is very frustrating) JUS service. They never pick up or return calls, even after months of attempt. Had to come in person (during this pandemic which is very frustrating) JUST to get a response. Finally, dealt with Zayra Medina and she was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I'm sure we all have a lot going on during this pandemic, but I am not sure that justifies being xxxxty to your customers when you've been avoiding all their calls. Also if I've left a message, it is NOT my responsibility to ensure you receive it - that should be company STANDARD. Overall, I do not recommend this dealership. More

Service dept. will beat on your car. I recently purchased a CPO Forester XT from a different Subaru dealer. Ocean Subaru is the closest Subaru dealer to me, so I figured this would be the I recently purchased a CPO Forester XT from a different Subaru dealer. Ocean Subaru is the closest Subaru dealer to me, so I figured this would be the location I go for Service needs. I just took my car in this week with only 13k miles on it, with the A/C already going out. They ended up replacing the A/C condenser. The max turbo boost I had ever driven the car to was 11 psi. I picked up my car from Service and it had been driven to 18.4 psi. I turned right back around and asked the Service dept. why someone had been driving my car so aggressively and they didn't apologize, but told me that the average driving of my car is at 27 psi (absolutely incorrect), and that they were just driving the car under normal circumstances. The max boost my car can run stock is 17-19 psi, and it takes a lot to get it there. There was no reason for them to be beating on my car for an A/C leak. More

I have never purchased a car from Ocean Subaru and bought with another dealer. but I've been receiving numerous mails/emails that seem to indicate I had bought a car with Ocean Subaru. It has been hectic trying to figure out what was going on. The sales rep were very aggressive in forcing you to do a credit check and right now I am still in the process of understanding why I continue to receive mails/emails that claim I have a bought a car from here. Inisited on credit check eventhough paying cash My girlfriend and I were in the market for a 2019 WRX Premium 6MT. We were in contact with Ocean Subaru of Fullerton (OSF) in regards to pricing. On My girlfriend and I were in the market for a 2019 WRX Premium 6MT. We were in contact with Ocean Subaru of Fullerton (OSF) in regards to pricing. On our way to to run some errands in the OC, we stopped by OSF to check out the car. Josh Teets was our salesperson and he was able to get good pricing on the car before TTL. We decieded to pull the trigger on it since it was a good price before TTL. My plan was to pay $3k on my credit card (to get points) and my girlfriend would pay personal check. Josh instructed us that we BOTH needed to fill out a form online. I looked at the form and it was a credit app. I told him we're not filling that out since it's a hard credit pull and we already have funding. He said I needed to fill out that form to verify it's me. I found that odd, since I can walk into Best Buy and pay for a $7k TV on my credit card and i dont't to fill out any forms with my SSN to "verify it's me". Josh says he won't take my credit card, but will take her personal check, but she still needs to fill out the form. We refuse again. He tells us it's for OFAC verification (if you don't know what that is check out articles by Bankrate). Next he says he needs our SSN for the DMV registration, also WRONG. Another round of back and fourth and we agree to go to finance and bring a cashier's check in 3 days for his protection and ours (sure, ok fair enough). We get to finance and the price of the car is different then what Josh and I agreed upon. The finance guy also says that price should be finanzled in your loan app. I told him we're not filling out a loan app. We walk out of there and Josh comes to my car in the street and i told him he's wasting my time. I asked him bluntly, "What is the amount you need OTD to buy this car with cashier's check?". He replies frustrated and has to go back inside "check if this deal is worth it anymore". We leave. I went to Subaru Pacific and they glady took my credit card, girlfriend's cashiers check and without any sort of credit check or to "verify it's us". ALL we provided was ID. We were in/out of the dealer in 90min. No drama. Know your rights when you buy a car. More
