Open Road Acura of Wayne

I purchased a $60,000 vehicle from Open Road Acura of Wayne in April 2026, and unfortunately, my experience after the sale has been extremely disappointing. A few weeks after purchasing the vehicle, I noticed rippling in the paint on the rear of the car. I brought it back to the dealership, where Felipe, the New Car Manager, told me he would submit the issue to corporate and, if corporate would not cover it, the dealership would take care of it because I had just purchased the vehicle. After waiting 2½ weeks with no response, I emailed and called Felipe and received no response. About another week later, Robert, the Used Car Manager, contacted me and told me the dealership would not fix the issue because they did not cause it. His attitude toward me during the conversation was extremely rude and dismissive. I then contacted Acura Corporate, who instructed me to bring the vehicle to the dealership's service department so they could take pictures and evaluate the issue. I scheduled an appointment with Gustavo, the Service Manager, specifically to address the problem. When I arrived, Gustavo was not even at the dealership. The service advisor, Eldrick, inspected the vehicle and told me that the paint issue appeared to be a defect and reassured me that it would be taken care of. Weeks later, Acura Corporate contacted me and told me that Gustavo and the district manager determined it was not a manufacturer defect—even though neither one of them personally inspected my vehicle during my appointment—and they closed my case. I am now being sent back by corporate to the same dealership with a defective $60,000 vehicle and no resolution. The lack of communication, conflicting information, and treatment I received after spending $60,000 at this dealership has been incredibly frustrating. I expected much better customer service and accountability from both the dealership and Acura. More
