I purchased a 'pre-owned' vehicle from Open Road, while I was actually there with my sister who was also looking for a car. The price of the car in my price range and it had all of the options I wanted. was actually there with my sister who was also looking for a car. The price of the car in my price range and it had all of the options I wanted. When I was first there, the customer service was phenomenal, especially for a Saturday. I was impressed with the dealership so I purchased a car from them. I picked up the car on Halloween, although I wanted to wait for after the storm that was expected in NJ. As a courtesy to the salesmen (whom I wanted to get the commission in October), I went in the storm to pick up a new car. When I picked up the car I was immediately sent to the finance manager who sold me the extended warranty with the promise that he would order me a second key for the car. It was the first time I purchased a car and was only given one key (that should have been a clue). After working with this gentleman for about 45 minutes and having the promise of a second key for buying the warranty. They pulled my car around. In the snow storm I was given the key from the warmth of the showroom and told that my car was out front. When test driving the car I asked a lot of questions about different features, especially the AWD feature, and the salesman told me that they would go through everything in detail when I picked the car up. On this snowy day, none of the sales people wanted to leave the showroom to show me the features of the car. When I said that they were supposed to show me, they brushed me off by saying that they already showed me during the test drive. I got the car home after sliding about 6 times in an AWD car in a snowstorm, I had, and still have, no idea about how the AWD works. The issues I have with a car that I picked up about 6 weeks ago are: 1. OK, back to the Key. When I picked up the car they said that I would have to make an appointment to have the new key cut for the car. About a week later I made the appointment to have the key made and showed up at the scheduled time. I waited for about 20 minutes before my name was even called. When they finally took my car to look at it, they spent about 1 1/2 with the car and came back and said that there was something wrong with Mazda's computer system and they couldn't program the key. After I complained that I had been there for a long time and they should have told me they couldn't do what they promised, I took the key they had cut (they key they gave me was a valet key, not the one with the alarm I thought they would give me)and started to leave. As I was walking out the door, the receptionist told me NOT to put the 'new' key in the ignition, otherwise the car wouldn't start at all. I called to complain about the key incident and was told that they didn't promise me an alarm key but a 'key' and that's what they gave me. Then the manager offered to have someone from the dealership pick my car up at my office and program the key and then return the car instead of giving me a loaner car as I asked. Since I don't have 2 hours in my day to wait for Open Road to actually provide the service they promised, I still do not have a second key for my car. 2. The next issue with the car is the tire. The day after I picked the car up the indicator light on the dashboard that shows there is low tire pressure came on. I immediately put air in the tires and the light went off. The next day the light was back on. When I went to the dealership about the key issue, I had them look at the tires to see why the light was on. They looked at the tires and plugged a hole that was in a tire. They should have replaced the tire, but told me that wasn't in the warranty. 3. The other night the car wouldn't start after I got gas. The gas station attendant was able to jump start the car so I could get home. The next day I went to Sears and was told the battery was bad. I purchased a new battery for $130, which is very annoying since I've only had the car for 6 weeks. I thought about utilizing my 'warranty' for the battery, but was told the warranty didn't cover normal maintenance. In a nutshell, I purchase a certified pre-owned vehicle from Open Road Mazda and have had more trouble in the 6 weeks that I've had than I have had in all of the years with any of my other cars. More
I have a Mazda cx9 that was making odd noises when making turns. It was an intermittent problem. The service manager went on a road test with me and was able to diagnose the vehicle during the road test. I w turns. It was an intermittent problem. The service manager went on a road test with me and was able to diagnose the vehicle during the road test. I was told the part would come in on Thursday; I drop the car off on Monday and was given a loaner car at no charge. To my surprise the car was finished, washed and vac'd (looked amazing) today on Wednesday, early! I have never been treated better, I was greeted quickly and spoke to a very profession lady named Melissa and then the service manager (Sita) also joined our discussion of my concern. This was by far the best experience I have had at a Mazda dealer yet!!!!!Never going back to Wayne Mazda or Maxon Mazda again!! More
Put their open road license plate holder on without my permission, then when I complained and had them take it off, they damaged the OEM bolts and had to put cheap aftermarket bolts on. They said their pa permission, then when I complained and had them take it off, they damaged the OEM bolts and had to put cheap aftermarket bolts on. They said their paperwork allows them to do this. Devious and unethical. Service manager was no help. This service department is every nightmare you've ever heard about big dealerships,"AVOID AT ALL COSTS" More

From the start this dealership was a nightmare. When I bought the car brand new 2009 CX7 they told me that I could put regular gas in the car, now it's not the case. They showed me one car and gave me an bought the car brand new 2009 CX7 they told me that I could put regular gas in the car, now it's not the case. They showed me one car and gave me another and after I drove off the lot I noticed and the manager didn't really give a hoot and was also very rude (fat xxxxxxx). They also told me one interest rate and gave me another, another fault of mine cause I didn't read the contract before signing. Now I have the car almost two years anytime i take it in for something service takes over an hour for an oil change only!!! My dog ate my keys and they want to charge me 460 for a new set. The sensor light is out and since I have a lot of miles on the car it is out of warrenty, it is gonna cost me 250. Mazada needs to realize they are not porsche and to stop over charging More
This was by far the worst car buying experience of my latest purchase attempt. I had asked to make an appointment to drive a specific model. I was told that this was not a problem, but when I arrived a latest purchase attempt. I had asked to make an appointment to drive a specific model. I was told that this was not a problem, but when I arrived at the dealership, no one was aware of my appointment and was greeted with someone shouting acorss the dealership "is anyone free". I was shuffled off to a salesman (don't remember his name), so eventually (after about 1/2 hour) brought a car around for me to test drive. He spent most of the time trying to sell me on options that I did not want. I asked about getting a price, and was then introduced to the sales manager, who did not give me price, but asked "What can I do to put you in a car today?" I replied that he should never ask that again. He became rude at that point. I asked again for a price and gave them my contact information. I never heard from them even after contacting them again for the price. I guess that they weren't interested in selling a car to me. More
Purchased/financed used 07 Honda Ridgeline 3/12/11 only to get home and find that truck had wheel locks and tonneau cover lock but no keys to either one. Open road was to also mail new plates and registrat to get home and find that truck had wheel locks and tonneau cover lock but no keys to either one. Open road was to also mail new plates and registration to me as I live in NYC. Spoke with salesman (who like any other saleperson maybe your best friend for the moment)jst send the reciepts from Honda for the replacement wheel and tonneau cover locks and we'll see if we can re-inburse. Still waiting for a response but not holding my breath. Got my registration and plates after a whole big thing with them(they had new plates for a week before I contacted them and threatened to bring truck back and leave it in their lot). Sales mgr. waste of time. Much thanks to the receptionist for your help. Will never recomend anyone to this dealer. More
My engine light came on so I stopped over during my lunch hour and they diagnosed the problem (leaky air intake hose) and replaced it within an hour. Very friendly, very fast. The diagnostic test was about hour and they diagnosed the problem (leaky air intake hose) and replaced it within an hour. Very friendly, very fast. The diagnostic test was about $125 and the intake hose cost me another $100 or so. Highly recommended. More

Doug was my salesman and he was exactly what you would wish for, being very friendly and knowledgeable. I had a trade in and quoted a national offer on the car I was buying. They gave me a fair offer right away and I was so impressed I didn't even negotiate. I was driving my new car home less than three hours after I walked in the door and there was no fuss or muss. Even the business manager was quick and didn't pressure me with extras. More
Worst dealer I have ever encountered right from the sales department, finance manager who seems to know nothing and "forgot" or "had you sign the wrong paperwork", to the service department. The vehicle pur department, finance manager who seems to know nothing and "forgot" or "had you sign the wrong paperwork", to the service department. The vehicle purchased has been a problem since driving it home on the day of purchase. They know nothing all of sudden and refuse to help at all. Buy a car anywhere but here. More
