The overwhelmingly negative reviews do not lie. I came in here in November 2022 to inquire about purchasing a new 2023 CX-5 as my 2019 CX-5 lease was ending in December 2022. I was promptly greeted I came in here in November 2022 to inquire about purchasing a new 2023 CX-5 as my 2019 CX-5 lease was ending in December 2022. I was promptly greeted and sat down with a "top salesperson in the country for Mazda". I told him about an offer I received and he began to berate me, telling me, "You'll never actually get that, those numbers are fake, good luck and come back when you don't get the deal". He was incredibly rude and offered me a CX-5 Premium Plus ($38k MSRP) for $556/mo with $4k out of pocket. Needless to say, I did NOT take the "offer". Guess what? The "deal" that he told me I'd never get, I got at Wayne Mazda. Open Road Mazda should send some of their salespeople in undercover to learn how to sell cars and be nice to the end customer. I only went to Open Road because it was slightly closer to me and I like to give everyone a fair shot at my business. I am a paying customer who could afford any car in the showroom, and this is how they treated me. I am so happy that I never have to deal with Open Road Morristown and am going to give my business to the other Mazda dealer until I get sick of driving a Mazda. You need to do a significant audit of your sales practices and be kind to the person who makes you money, the customer. I was inspired to write this review (despite initially not wanting to damage the reputation of Open Road Mazda) after a friend recently visited the showroom for a CX-5 a few weeks go, and had the SAME treatment I did, back in Nov 2022. Needless to say, I directed her to another Mazda dealer (on Route 23) who gave her an incredible deal and was most importantly, kind, to her (and myself). Please do not do business with Open Road Mazda of Morristown. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the salesperson's name, but it may have been Vladimir. Please don't quote me on that. However, do not contact me about changing my review either, it will never be changed because the service to myself and my friend was appalling and reminiscent of the days that dealerships used to be known for being "shady" and playing tricks. FEMALE CUSTOMERS BEWARE: I went to Open Road Mazda of Morristown to renew my lease and move from a CX-3 to CX-5 on 5/6/23. I made an appointment with Ed and was told that I would be taken care of by Bob Morristown to renew my lease and move from a CX-3 to CX-5 on 5/6/23. I made an appointment with Ed and was told that I would be taken care of by Bob upon arrival. Bob showed up fifteen minutes late to the appointment with no apology and proceeded to try to show me the CX-30 when I clearly stated that I set up the test drive for the CX-5 multiple times. When finally shown the model I had requested my questions regarding trim levels went unanswered with the response that “we can discuss later” during the test drive. When told I could see the differences in Trim Levels Bob did not bring the correct keys to the back lot to show me comparison models and instead tried to explain the differing features for the premium models from outside of the vehicle incorrectly. Once I returned to the office to discuss pricing I was not given transparent information on buyout pricing without committing to a new down payment for a future lease. I was then blamed for not providing my keys to look at the current leased vehicle when we started the appointment despite never having requested the keys. Bob proceeded to standup and raise his voice at me when taking my keys and came back 10 minutes later with an offer that was significantly out of market and not aligned with the promotions that were emailed to me. My general questions regarding lease terms were met with eye rolls instead of answers. I hope that I, as an unaccompanied female, coming into Open Road Mazda of Morristown dealing with Bob was the exception and this is not the way that all females are treated in this dealership. Sadly, by the way that I was passed off to a different sales associate from whom I made the appointment with, the lack of pricing transparency and general dismissive attitude of the sales associate I do not believe that is the case. Overall, this was an experience that made me want to leave the Mazda Family, however I decided to try another dealership nearby and was treated with nothing but Respect. I am happily the new owner of a Mazda CX-5 Premium Plus and could not be happier!! More

Refrain from buying a car in this place. They made me have a ticket and go to court for the negligence of never giving me my license plates. They retained my license plates for 2 month They made me have a ticket and go to court for the negligence of never giving me my license plates. They retained my license plates for 2 months, they never called me and when I asked the seller JULIO VILCHEZ he cheekily told me that I could transit my car with an expired license plate without having problems, he said DMV was late on their process even when I asked so many times and even when they have my plates ready since February 10 (that’s what they said) it wasn’t until March 6 that I had the ticket so I reach them and they realized that they had the plates God knows since when… Now I have an unfair court and a ticket to pay for their negligence and lies. They are dishonest, never trust this dealer. And not to mention the other director PAUL, a person who say lies in front of your face to cover his back instead of accepting his mistakes and offering an apology he treats you like garbage. More
