The finance manager is a person that doesn't know how to do business. I was in the area and stopped to see if I can get an offer to buy my ID4 car that was leased from VW. First they don't tell you about o do business. I was in the area and stopped to see if I can get an offer to buy my ID4 car that was leased from VW. First they don't tell you about offers and discounts. then after I showed them the offer, they come with their offer back for financing. numbers are not matching. very high monthly payment. it came to interest rate of about 15%. I asked for the break down of the fees, then they lowered the payment by $50 monthly. Offered interest rate 5.5%. Then we agreed to proceed. I gave them my SSN and everything else, then they come back and say that the residual value of the car is $24k, but the car market value is $15k. So I need to pay $6-7k down payment, plus the interest rate will be 10% they said. My credit score is 760. excellent. I don't understand how I got such a bad deal? Then the crooked finance manager says its because my credit is bad. But he doesn't see that their xxxxty VW ID4 car lost $32k in value in 3 years, from $47k to $15k, and now they have no way to back up and protect the customers in this situation. yet they try to blame customers for it. Also, I checked the KBB value, it is arounf $19-20k. Not even $15k as they said. Then I found my own financing with better terms, I said Ill have this company send you a check, they didn't want to do it. they said they need to work with few banks only. So, my point is, this dealership is a screw up. Stay away from them. because of this dealership I have Volkswagen now. They don't know how to represent VW. this is why their reviews here are very low. Just better close your business and disappear. More
As always it was a fast service, with recommended options explained that I wasn't aware of. I've never had an issue with the sales or service team, always a pleasure working with them to get my car serviced. explained that I wasn't aware of. Open road VW in Bridgewater I’m going to save you time by letting you know how these people work. I took my truck there for an issue I had that’s covered under the warranty and the letter I got in the mai by letting you know how these people work. I took my truck there for an issue I had that’s covered under the warranty and the letter I got in the mail about it. (Leaking water from the roof onto the inside front and back windshield plus hearing bubbling after the car was sitting after it had rained) Get a text with a video showing me what the problem was and they said in the video they were going to drain all 4 drains. Now that consists of them literally flicking dirt out of a plastic tube. Never called to let us know if it was covered under the warranty or not and never told us the cost. In the same text there’s a bill for $145.95. Never gave them permission to do any work to the truck never knew if it was covered under the warranty never knew the price if it wasn’t covered. Then I speak with the service advisor Alex who thinks he’s gods gift to VW and tell him I’m not paying because I didn’t give consent to do any work on the truck or knowing the price. Well he proceeds to tell me he can’t release the car without payment. I called VW customer care and they told me that it was covered under warranty and I should not be paying anything. I put in a complaint and got the case number. They will be contacting the regional manager to deal with what they are doing to people over there. Who knows how many people they scammed like this! Needless to say after I yelled at them earlier in the day about what they’re doing and how wrong it is there was no payment required. I got my keys and left. I will never go there for anything! Save yourself from getting scammed like I almost did! More
The car buying experience being low-end and predatory reflected in unprofessional sales practices, a lack of product knowledge, and unethical behavior is validated by dealerships and salespeople like thi reflected in unprofessional sales practices, a lack of product knowledge, and unethical behavior is validated by dealerships and salespeople like this. The sales person couldn’t explain or confirm the basic differences between trims or advise on why one model might suit our needs better than another when discussing two specific models (SE and SE R-Line). They also upsell a non-negotiable +$2,500 (approx.) fee on top of the MSRP due to generic services “they do on all their cars” like - filling the tires with nitrogen, covers on door kick plates, waxing, etc. None of which was requested or asked for. Most concerning was their false claim that 0%/60-month financing coincidently wasn’t available on the models we were interested in, but only on the models we weren’t, despite the manufacturer offering it on all trims of the Tiguan. They instead quoted a 0.09%/60 mo. rate without even reviewing or understanding our credit. Their refusal to discuss the actual car price and focus only on an inflated monthly payment but not being able to show or articulate itemized costs of where these numbers are coming from was another red flag. In the end, we bought a superior model elsewhere, more in line with/below the % off MSRP these cars are selling for, with 0%/60 mo. financing, no +$2,500 (approx.) fee for phantom services, and ended up with an out-the-door price that was still way lower than this dealerships “best offer” on the inferior model. If you choose to shop here, I recommend contacting the manufacturer directly to confirm and educate yourself on the available incentives and if you qualify, as this dealership will upsell and mislead you.
