Always a pleasure to go for service at Volvo, Gaetano from Open Road Volvo Cars Edison is very attentive and knowledgeable answers all my questions. I have been a customer of Volvo of Edison for approximately 12 years. I have been treated with respect over the years. I keep records of ALL service that has been performed on my car(s). Only once was there an error that could have cost me to pay for duplicate repair service, but I brought it to the attention of the Service Tech. Issue resolved. With my last service, there were some "hiccups". When I made the appointment for service and told the person whom I was speaking with what needed to be repaired, he made the appointment. When I arrived at Volvo on the day of the appointment, I was told that the part had not been ordered. I was assured that the part would be ordered, have a loaner car and my car would be repaired. When I went back on the new service date, only one part - instead of 2 - had been ordered. I had to make another appointment to come back. Finally, on the 3rd visit, I was able to leave my car and have the repairs made. The Service Technician that had been with me during this time was GAETANO. He was EXCELLENT; very apologetic and took all steps to resolve the issues. He was courteous and polite!! And again, apologized for the issues with getting the parts ordered correctly. I was VERY satisfied with the outcome. More
Worst customer service / dealer experience I have ever had in owning 8 Volvos - avoid them at all costs - THEY WILL LIE TO YOU AND PRICE GOUGE. I made an appointment for programming a new key fob for my had in owning 8 Volvos - avoid them at all costs - THEY WILL LIE TO YOU AND PRICE GOUGE. I made an appointment for programming a new key fob for my daughter's 2008 S40. My daughter and I checked in, were told the cost would be $600+, and were told it would take an hour to program the new key. After waiting 1 hour 45 minutes, my daughter asked why it was taking so long. The service employee stated "we are having a small issue with programming the new key". He sent the service manager over who reiterated that excuse. His explanations did not make sense and he kept saying the programming was taking longer than expected. When I kept asking what the problem was and how much longer it would take I was told "I have something to tell you and I don't think you are going to be very happy". He told me the new key fob they ordered HAD NOT BEEN DELIVERED AND THEY HAD NO NEW KEY FOB ON SITE. They knew this when they checked us in, told us it would cost $600+, would take an hour to program the new key, and "please have a seat in the waiting area". LIES, LIES, LIES. If my daughter had not asked about the delay, they were NOT GOING TO TELL US - THEY LEFT US SITTING WAITING FOR 2 HOURS FOR A KEY THEY DIDN'T HAVE. The service staff we spoke to all knew the key wasn't there, but chose not to tell us. We immediately left. If they will lie about not having a part on site when they check you in, what else will they lie about when performing maintenance on a vehicle? THEY ARE UNTRUSTWORTHY!!! We then took our car to Kundert Volvo in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ who had the key in stock, took an hour to program it as promised, and cost $100 less than Edison Volvo. More
Buyer be aware ! !!! We shook hands on a new lease after hours of negotiation as a returning customer with and salesman and the Gm . We went into a room with a finance !!! We went into a room with a finance / warranty guy who advised to speed up the process we could just sign at the x’s . We now are finding out these the deal we shook hands on for a 3 year lease was not what we agreed on but a 2 year . We were victimized by this dealership of a “ bait and switch”’and we were prior customers. The original sales person that we stayed in touch with apologized and advised us to go in for them to make it right but the General manager Paul Seetoo only resolved with attempting to upsell us after we came in , further insulting the wrong. We are a minority couple and feel like we were disrespected and disregarded . Make sure you comb through the details because the deceptive practices are in full use at this dealership . I would never have imagined this type of treatment as a long term returning customer. More
Another great experience from Service and their Manager Andrew Fuentes, the Service Writer, Joe, Lupita in scheduling, and even the Drivers, Ramon’s and Derrick. One of my tires had a bubble and once again Andrew Fuentes, the Service Writer, Joe, Lupita in scheduling, and even the Drivers, Ramon’s and Derrick. One of my tires had a bubble and once again had to drive my Wife to the Hospital the next day. Called Andrew around 11 and incredibly picked up the car by 1, had it back by 5 and even left me a loaner. 10 stars for this great Dealer. More
