Just purchased our first VW and it was all due to the service we got at David Maus VW North!! After embarking on a very daunting task of car shopping this past Saturday, we left the house pretty certain service we got at David Maus VW North!! We were in the market to trade in our SUV for a 4 dr sedan. However I didn't want something cookie cutter, soccer mom inspired and bland. I wanted something fun to drive! We had decided that we still wanted to test drive other makes and models to ensure we were 100% certain about our choice. VW actually was not on our stop and test list when we left home. Just by chance we met a couple at lunch who talked about their Passat and how much they loved it. So we decided since the dealership was only a few minutes away, why not. When we arrived we were greeted by a great smile, firm handshake and a genuine interest in why we were there, Howard!!! We proceeded to test the Passat, which I enjoyed driving but did not like the wood grain trim inside. So we inquired about the Jetta and the differences between the two. So Howard showed us the Jetta GLI, which I had a blast driving! So we ventured into the showroom cause I had some further questions. As we waited for Howard we spotted the Jetta Turbo Hybrid on the showroom floor. We walked over and were surprised at the price and it peaked our interest. So Howard, ever so patient with me :-), offered for us to test that one, which we did. I was sold!!! However I had made a conscience decision to sleep on it, as we still needed to test the Camry. We left VW and headed straight to the Toyota lot. Yes the Camry was roomier but it wasn't fun. So we slept on it and couldn't get the Hybrid out of our heads. The next day we contacted Howard who gave a price, it was still a bit more them we wanted to pay, but we still went in to discuss it. Once there, Howard and Issac really worked hard to get us what wanted in the price we were offered at another dealer, 2 hours away. We really enjoyed the service provided by everyone, but especially Howard! Not once did we feel pressured or lied to. He let me talk through all my questions and indecisiveness without hesitation! We would definitely recommended this dealership to anyone! PS....LOVE THE CAR!!! More

I went in looking to trade in my 2007 VW Passat. I got top dollar for my trade. The sales manager Matt worked with me over the phone to prepare the deal. Gave me everything I needed. In December, I was in the market for new automobile. I had narrowed it down it down to three manufacturers. I visited David Maus North after receiving a call as a result of an Internet inquiry. Mark did an excellent job with presentation, they test drive, etc. However, Jayson, who apparently was one of the sales managers on duty that day, kept using the delay tactics to wear us down. We sat there for 4 1/2 hours when we decided we just do not play those games. At one point, they agreed on a price with me, but asked me to sign. I wanted to make the deal after making a phone call. Within two minutes the price jumped $3000. The truth of the matter is that they wanted my car for $3000 less. Yet, I did buy a new car elsewhere for the $3000 more than what they were offering when decided they did not want to go through with price. I think they were trying to wear us down to sign at their price. IN 42 years of buying cars very 4 or 5 years, I have never dealt with this kind of sales approach. More
