Don Pritchard dealer I have never written a poor review before, but I am super disappointed in this dealership and the dealer we worked with. My husband I are living overs I have never written a poor review before, but I am super disappointed in this dealership and the dealer we worked with. My husband I are living overseas in Germany and we move home in less than a month. We made an offer (online via email and Skype) on a vehicle through Orleans Ford with Don Pritchard. We sent a deposit to him, we arranged a loan through our Bank, and had a transport service set up to take our car to our home to have it ready and available when we arrived home. We kept on top of everything on our end by calling via Skype, sending numerous emails, etc. A day after all of this we didn't hear anything from Don or the dealership, which we thought was odd. And... then another day and again, nothing. We called and spoke to his (Don's) Sales Manager who reassured us all was good and that the car was "ours." Yesterday we received a notification on our email saying that the vehicle had been sold. We assumed " sold to us, right!" WRONG! But something felt a little unsettling so we called Orleans Ford immediately. Of course the dealer, DON made some ridiculous excuse and said the vehicle had already been sold two weeks ago and it was an oversight. Acting like these things just happen and it wasn't his fault at all. Pretty much acting like we were born yesterday. I don't hear of this kind of thing happening very often, but it happened to us. Of course this isn't life or death, it is just a vehicle. But when you are living overseas and cannot wait to move home in a few weeks and you've just purchased a car that was perfect for your kids, etc., it is exciting. Especially knowing we will have it there waiting for us when we get home. Now, no car. We just wanted everyone shopping with Orleans Ford to know that this happened and hopefully they don't give Don their business. We are very disappointed and won't ever be shopping with them again. On top of it all, Don was unfriendly, and short, and arrogant. More
