I brought my vehicle in for service at approximately 15,000 miles with no steering issues, vibration, or abnormal tire wear. During the visit, I was advised that a wheel alignment was recommended. As someone without mechanical expertise, I relied on the service advisor’s recommendation and approved the work. After the service was completed, I was shown the alignment measurements. Upon reviewing them more closely afterward, the deviations appeared to be very minimal. I would have appreciated a clearer explanation of the measurements and necessity before the work was performed so I could make a more informed decision. When I later contacted the dealership to discuss my concerns, I was offered a credit for future service rather than a refund. During that conversation, the service manager asked whether my husband was present. I had been open that he was there at the time and that I discussed the situation with him after I was pulled aside during the visit, so I was unsure what the reference to his presence was meant to address. As the customer present and the owner of the vehicle, the comment felt dismissive to me and made the interaction uncomfortable. I escalated the matter through Lexus corporate, including executive customer relations. While I appreciate their follow-up, the dealership ultimately maintained their position. Sharing this for transparency so others can ask detailed questions and fully review service recommendations before approving work. More
