Not a fan. I have prepaid for service and took it in for oil change & tire rotation. When I got the receipt, it said my car didn’t need anything else. When I know it needs new tires and brakes very soon. I sent an email to the GM and he just forwarded it to the service mgr to contact me. Neither did. I don’t want to talk, I want my car to be properly looked at when I bring it in for service with a little friendly service. Guess that’s too much to ask for. More

BLUF: Overall, I would not wholeheartedly recommend Ourisman VW of Laurel. Positives: Ourisman VW offers Prompt scheduling and timely service. Facilities are clean and in good order. Service staff are friendly and do their best to check you in despite seeming a bit undermanned (this seems odd considering they are the ones who scheduled the appointment times). Their complimentary shuttle service within a 15mile radius of the dealership is generous. They call promptly when service is finished and vehicle is ready for pickup. Negatives: However, the service is quite expensive for what you’re getting and the cost when you arrive to drop off your vehicle does not seem to align with the projected costs on their website when selecting items for service. For example: 80,000-mile services for my 2016 GTI is listed on their service scheduling website as $366.72-$386.67. When I arrived to check in I was informed that it was estimated to be $750. This may have been a miscommunication because I asked them to look at the coolant system and they might have been pricing it for a coolant service item listed at $388.92 but this wasn’t very clearly communicated. It doesn’t totally add up anyway as I was charged $347.50 for the 80,000-mile service, which combined with the coolant service ($388.92), would have been $736.42, not $750. And while $347.50 is less than the $366.72-$386.67 on the website for the service, that just confuses me more. Additionally, a full 80 item inspection is promised but no results or test data is actually provided. They also told me over the phone that a problem (potential coolant system issue due to low coolant warnings and needing refills over the last year) I asked them to check out when dropping off the vehicle was, in fact, a problem… and told me on the phone that it would be $2500 to have the coolant system drained in order to replace the water pump and thermostat. When picking up my vehicle, they then gave me a written quote lacking specific part prices, estimated man hours, and fees that had somehow jumped to $3200. In summary, fine service overall but expensive and with confusing/misleading price structures and quotes. More

Its been a year since i brought my 2014 passat tdi into get serviced and it still bugs me everday. Finally im writing a review and still am thinking of filing a lawsuit against them. I spent $5k to get everything wrong they found on my car done. Me and my friend were there and asked will this take care of everything going on with it? Because we have a shop and found a $5k engine we would of swapped out for the old one. She replies yes. After a week i pick my car up and sure enough later that day at 9pm my car breaks down in the middle of a highway with a 30ft cloud of smoke coming out of the engine bay. Not being able to get out of my vehicle on the highway until it was safe the smoke was coming through the AC vents and made a permanent smell. I pushed off to the side and finally got it towed to them. They took no responsibility for it didnt even pay for the tow for my car to come back. Not only that, they left my vehicle outside with the trunk cracked when it was being serviced so mold formed and they got oil marks all over the interior pillars to the right and left of the windshield after i came to pick it up the second time. The windshield was impossible to see out of they couldnt even wipe it before giving it back. I was facing hard time and im still in dept from that service. YOU ALL ARE EVIL AND I HOPE KARMA FINDS YOU. I dont even want to drive my car anymore because it still has problems, smells like gasoline and mold and the interior was destroyed by your stupid mechanics that would grab the beige pills to get in and out of the car wih their oily gloves. Clearly you all charge a premium and have unqualified mechanics in the back to make the largest margin possible. Infact, i will be filing a lawsuit because what you all did to me was absurd. More

I was caught off guard as I traveled out of town with an unscheduled issue. I coasted into Ourisman just before they closed for the day and they hooked my GTI up on the machine. They didn’t put me off, they made me feel at home, helped me with a loaner, and 100% took care of my “girl.” The three fellas with whom I became acquainted took their time, and although this is over an hour from my location, I will travel here for maintenance.
