I purchased my certified pre-owned X3 here in May 2022 and was promised that everything was pristine (as it should be on a certified vehicle). Throughout the buying process, I caught multiple careless errors, one of which included registering the car to the wrong plates. It would have been overlooked if I had not double checked my paperwork while filing it away days later. Now, less than 6 months later, I’m experiencing shakiness while driving and the service department determined I need all new tires + brakes — a $3,500 repair. I have put less than 5,000 miles on my car since purchase, and brought it to a local shop I have used frequently for a second opinion. My local shop confirmed what I already suspected — that I was sold a car that had pre-existing issues that were not disclosed to me at the time of purchase. When I brought this up, the service rep (Paul) confirmed there is no inspection information regarding the tires or brakes in the P&W records system from when the car was purchased (which there most certainly should be for a certified pre-owned vehicle). In addition, their service reps and service manager (Julian) are unreachable. It took over 24 hours between communications and updates, they do not have voicemails, neither Paul nor Julian were available at the (multiple) times I tried to call for an update, and Paul was not even able to get a hold of his own manager within a 24 hr period. This slow and poor level of service is unacceptable and not at all what I should be experiencing with a certified car I purchased from this dealership 5 months ago. More
