"No haggling" dealer experience. Unusual for this country. I hate car dealers and their tricks. As an immigrant - I can't understand why Americans put up with this industry practices for decades. I wish Attorney General and other agencies responsible could reform our car sales industry and keep it more regulated somehow, as they did with mortgage brokers in the past. I bought my new Acura at Park Ave Acura dealership in August 2014. Dealt with sales rep Curtis Lewis. He was very professional, answered all questions and quickly supplied me in writing with the "lowest price" and most importantly, this "lowest price" breakdown. Then I visited two other Acura dealerships in this county and asked them to sell the same car at Curt's "lowest price" minus $500. Those dealers refuse the price and came up with a hundred reasons why it is impossible to get that particular Acura for such a small price. I emailed Curt asking if "lowest price" minus $500 is a deal if I buy the car today. He agreed. I came in back to Park Ave Acura and the rest of the process was easy and fast. I was pleasantly surprised by lack of haggling, pressure and traditional "back and forth" with "back room managers" and sales staff at this dealership. My first preference was buying a Mazda. I visited 3 neighborhood Mazda dealerships in August 2014, but was unable to buy because of enormous amount of pressure applied by Mazda sales people. Mazda dealer in Wayne, NJ was the worst. They have beautiful website where they advertise certain discounts off MSRP. After I came in and asked for a car with discount advertised - sales people came up with a million excuses why the price on the website was a mistake and demanded extra $1500 on top of the advertised price. Unbelievable? Probably not. It is a usual experience at any American dealership. Anyway, if you are a kind of person who enjoys haggling with a car dealer and knows how to squeeze a dealer dry - this Park Ave Acura is probably not for you, you may not get the experience you expect. Or maybe it was just this particular sales rep Curt Lewis who made my buying experience pleasant. Maybe there are other sales people there who work differently, I don't know. But if you are like me and hate the bargaining and haggling and prefer emailing and clear answers - be sure to try Park Ave Acura and Curt Lewis when you need a new vehicle. More

The internet sales rep took a week to respond to me and then went completely radio silent. (I guess they don't deal with busy people there.) I contacted Alfredo via Park Ave's website. He responded to me even though he was not working that day! He answered all my questions and gave me a straight-up detailed quote (truly competitive) by E-Mail. I visited Park Ave Acura and they gave me a fair credit for my trade-in (again, truly competitive). Alfredo worked with my insurance agent in Massachusetts where the car was going to be registered and ensured that she had all the paperwork necessary to close the deal. Alfredo Sierra walks the talk and follows through on his promises. His enthusiasm for his product and ability to exceed expectations at every turn gets him six stars and this is coming from someone who hates shopping for a car. Curt Lewis called me early next morning after I made inquiry on their website the night before and offered me a very competitive price. That was the price the dealership honored when I came to purchase the car - there was not even a hint of effort trying to increase the price. When I came from NY by taking NJ bus and got lost on the street, Curt picked me up. On arrival, Curt pointed to the shinning MDX proudly parked right in front of the dealership and told me that would be my car and had all been cleaned and ready for me - that was the music to my ears. Curt and his manager James were very friendly and respectful. Most of all, I can feel that they are honest, trustworthy and dependable people. I completed my purchase and drive away the new MDX within half an hour. It was really easy and great experience. Although I had to come to NJ to make the purchase and spend time to register the car in NY, it is all worth it.
