Low pressure, at ease, when buying a new vehicle I had researched vehicles for about a year before stepping foot in a dealership. I have been a loyal customer to another local dealer, but they do not I had researched vehicles for about a year before stepping foot in a dealership. I have been a loyal customer to another local dealer, but they do not have Volvo in their portfolio. The relationship with the dealership has become important to me as I mature, and in fact, on my last purchase, I changed the car I bought to be able to stick with the dealership. All that to say, working with Joe and Jim at Park Place was a great experience. Joe spent a good amount of time with me explaining the ins and outs of the Volvo, Volvo philosophy and history, and Park Place value proposition. He explained how the team is onboarded, to make sure customers receive the best experience. Joe was on a planned vacation the next week, but connected me with Jim. Jim was easy to work with, and really feel like he worked hard to get me in the vehicle I wanted. He's very personable, and funny. By the time I left the dealership, I felt very comfortable, and am glad with my decision of changing dealerships, thanks to Joe and Jim. More

No commission? No service We ordered a custom XC90 from the factory and had it delivered to Park Place. I called Joe, who is apparently the only salesmen to deal with internati We ordered a custom XC90 from the factory and had it delivered to Park Place. I called Joe, who is apparently the only salesmen to deal with international delivery. Every time I called it was as if I was someone new each time. First, he said we couldn’t pick up the car on Saturday because they were too busy selling cars. When we arrived on Saturday, they were all just hanging by the coffee machine. We waited for them all to make their own coffee before we were offered any by 4 salesmen. Not a big deal, but really? Backing up a bit, I asked for crossbars installed and a roof rack to be ready when we came to get the car...gave them over two months notice! The day prior, I confirmed and they said, nah, you have to buy those from the parts department. Understandable, but maybe Joe should offer to take my payment details and arrange for them to be installed and ready upon arrival. We finally met Joe on Saturday and he handed us a key fob and told us our car was over there. No kidding, that was ALL HE DID! I asked if there was a second key and he said that’s all he got. I asked him to make sure we were getting everything and he wasn’t sure. He opened the fob and there was no key! About ten minutes later he came back with all our stuff but no paperwork to sign and didn’t offer to even show us to our car. He had not even confirmed I was the owner!! Anyone could have walked in and taken our car. When I asked if he was sure Indid t need to sign anything, he drew a line on a piece of paper and had me sign it. I asked him to show me to our vehicle and asked where to pick up my cross bars and roof rack. He told me the parts department was off site and to go see if they had any!! Then he bid us farewell and sent us on our way. I didn’t even know how to start the car and work the nav system to find the parts department. I walked back into the office and kindly asked another associate to show me some features. He (didn’t bother to get his name because he just pointed at Joe.) Joe came out, told us the app to use to download the user manual, showed us a few things after I asked about everything, and sent us on our way. Wouldn’t bother to help set up Volvo On Call because it wasn’t one of their cars (I called Crest Volvo Plano to get that done.) Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not once did he mention any of the features, service plans, warranty, etc. luckily the parts department gave me all the info I needed and we were on our way. I purchased extra parts because she was so nice. I wish I would have gotten her name, but I will and will be contacting her manager to promote her to sales. She even offered to install my cross bars. She had customers waiting, so I let her make other people feel better about their Volvo experience...in case they had run into Joe. More
