"Disappointed With Used Car Purchase " Recently, we purchased a used Volvo from Taylor Hollingsworth. We were excited about the car however, 3-4 hours after the purchase ,it was very appare Recently, we purchased a used Volvo from Taylor Hollingsworth. We were excited about the car however, 3-4 hours after the purchase ,it was very apparent, we had a smoker's car. This was very disappointing because 1.) when we test drove the car, about 15 minutes , the smell was only that of a cleaning or odorizing scent, not smoke 2.) this information was not shared with us 3:) dealership policy re:smoke info and 4.) this wasn't our preference. To Park Place credit , they attempted to address the problem by providing a service to remove smoke smell and changing the filter, but, neither worked. Also, Scott Leflett, pre-owned sales manager, offered free detailing service for new car we ended up purchasing. We were told by Germaine Ambers, finance manager, that it was our responsibility to ask the question " is this a smoker's car?" and "that if a buyer doesn't ask, then that information isn't shared." I am very disappointed that this is the dealership policy and it seems unfair to buyers, since other information was shared about the car. We chose to trade the car in because 1) that wasn't our preference and 2.) the health of a family member. However, in doing so, we monetarily lost. So, I share this to perhaps, spare someone else from experiencing what happen to us. So, if purchasing, a used car (and you don't want a smoker's car) REMEMBER, it's your responsibility to ask, if the vehicle you are interested in is a smoker's car and though, you may not initially smell smoke on test drive, it doesn't mean it's not there. Ask the right questions are you can be stuck with a vehicle that doesn't work for you. More

Bought Mini - Flew from Fargo North Dakota I had a really good price worked out on a 2012 Mini Cooper S. However, I my plans for having it picked up in Dallas by a family member fell through so I had a really good price worked out on a 2012 Mini Cooper S. However, I my plans for having it picked up in Dallas by a family member fell through so I was going to let the deal go buy. Mariette made special efforts to arrange shipping, along with the efforts she had put in to arrange the financing and get the car ready. In the end, as I wanted to inspect the car before delivery, i just flew down and picked it up and drove it back to Fargo. The deal was good enough and the car rare enough that it was worth the drive. Everything that the Mariette and the finance department at the dealership said they would do, they did. No gocha's, no miss understandings. More
