Excellent experience! My search to find a pre-owned Porsche Cayenne GTS led me to Park Place Volvo one Saturday afternoon. When I arrived I met Awan Sohaib, and he informed me that the white 2008 that I had seen on the website and come to look at was unfortunately being sold to another customer. I thanked him and told him I was heading to Boardwalk Porsche to look at another one but he still took the time to get to know me, asked what specifically I was looking for, and got my phone number just in case they got another one in. As luck would have it, they did eventually get another in and Awan remembered me and called to ask if I was still in the market. It was the exact vehicle that I was looking for and I bought it that day. Awan was a great person to help me with this transaction. I used the word "person" instead of "salesman" because Awan made me feel like I was dealing with a trusted friend who was helping me get the car I wanted, and he was not like any typical car salesmen I have dealt with in in the past. He also went above and beyond in all aspects including, calling the previous Porsche dealer for the maintenance records, verifying the Certified pre-owned status, having the spare key and owners manual shipped Fed-Ex to my house, and he has called me after the sale on two separate occasions to check on me and make sure I was still completely satisfied with my purchase. I have to also mention that dealing with the Finance Manager, Germaine, was a pleasure as well. We had a great friendly conversation while we went through the payment process, and he even got me a finance rate that was much better than my credit union! He was waiting when we returned, had already edited availability of the XC60's in which I had expressed interest, and despite a driving rain, made the rounds with us to see them. We live 100 miles north of Dallas and were keen on completing the purchase that very day. Awan and the sales manager stayed late, on a Saturday evening, to make sure that I was happy with my choice, the paperwork was executed promptly and that my purchase was hassle-free. This is my 17th Volvo. Probably 11 of those were new. I bought old used 240's for my two sons when they were just beginning to drive, when they were in high school and college. I have dealt with many sales departments and, frankly, I've never been more pleased than I was with Park Place. I learned early on to buy a car where the service department is good. Malcolm Gage, who handled the finance end of my deal, was quick, to the point, extremely informative but not "pushy" at all when explaining all the other packages available. Although I didn't have any "business" dealings with Rob Schweizer, the GM, he was very accommodating. No doubt all of these guys are friendly but also entertaining, which made the visits to the dealership enjoyable when compared to the typical lame waiting game I've had to deal with at other dealerships. Most important to me... what got me in the door to do business with Park Place in the first place is the fact that Park Place Dealership has been iconic in the area of corporate philanthropy, always giving back to countless nonprofit organizations year after year in the DFW area, which established my initial trust in them.
