We were sold a LEMON. We had not even made our first payment yet and our engine caught fire going 65mph down a straight highway on I-40W. 30 days later - we STILL have no truck and GMC has done absolute payment yet and our engine caught fire going 65mph down a straight highway on I-40W. 30 days later - we STILL have no truck and GMC has done absolutely nothing about it. We have had to pay thousands in towing expenses and an RV transport. My husband is a traveling ER nurse serving in crisis areas for COVID. We were pulling our 9,000lb trailer behind a 2500HD GMC Sierra, way under the max towing capacity when we heard a pop and saw flames out of the passenger side wheel well. We are lucky my husband remembered we had a fire extinguisher in the RV otherwise who knows what could have happened. We had to get two tows the night of the accident, an RV transport the next day because his job started in Arizona and we had to be there and we are out rental car expenses as well. This process has been ridiculous and we are shocked at how uninvolved GMC has been. We would like to be reimbursed our towing expenses and rental car fees. We would like a new truck since the 2021 we bought caught fire before we could even make our first payment on it. We are extremely disappointed in GMC. We have been told by many that GMC will “stand by their brand” but we have YET to see it. Ready to take our business elsewhere. More
