Made and offer on a used truck. Got a text back that the price was firm. 3 seconds later got another text with a counter offer. After going back and forth and getting approved for their financing, was told price was firm. 3 seconds later got another text with a counter offer. After going back and forth and getting approved for their financing, was told if I didn't but the car at their price they were going to reduce the price on the internet the next morning to that price. What kind of logic is that? He said because they were an "honest" dealer if they offered it to me for that price they had to offer it to.everyone else at that price I told.him that was ridiculous and couldn't care less what they changed the price to because it's all supply and demand anyway. Then I looked on website and the price had need reduced by a different price between the original and what their offer to me was. So I pointed that out and the salesman said "yeah we use a third party to.price out vehicles" So right - an algorithm adjusts pricing based on supp!y and demand - not because you are an "honest" dealer. We were $400 apart on a deal and the salesman blew it up because he wanted to play games. Then he sent me a nasty text telling me I wasted HIS time! Very dishonest and unprofessional. More
