Either poor work or untrustworthy My car was in for a recall last July. When the work was completed, the service rep, Lou Berardino called me to tell me that there were issues with dir My car was in for a recall last July. When the work was completed, the service rep, Lou Berardino called me to tell me that there were issues with dirt and leaves getting in to my engine. The way that I understood him was that it was an issue in my car and they would clean the cowl and fix the problem for $125 which I okayed. When I saw the invoice, I saw that all they did was vacuum the cowl out and I was shocked that would cost $125 and contacted Chris Burke, the service manager, and he gave me a credit for 1/2 of my money, $62.50. I have owned 11 or 12 cars over almost 50 years and I have rarely, if ever and surely not in the last 20+ years, had a mechanic tell me that my cowl needed cleaning, especially since I had purchased the car certified only 1 1/2 years prior. On February 8 I brought my car in for another recall and got an oil change to use the credit from the last time. The first thing that Lou said when I went to pick up the car was that I should have gotten the cowl cleaned as he had mentioned the prior visit and he showed me a report that the cowl had failed their inspection. I told him that it had been done just 7 months earlier and his response was, that's an Audi for you. Needless to say, it seems impossible to me that this service could be needed so soon after I had paid for the work to be done and wonder if they actually did the work the first time or if it was actually needed this time or if this is a serious defect in Audis. None of these possibilities is acceptable Additionally, I have received 2 emails from Sirius and a USPS mail letter offering me their services based on my car being recently repaired. That shows that Paul Miller Audi sold or gave my email and home address to Sirius without my permission. That too is far below the service that I would expect from a luxury car company such as Audi.
