I have been having trouble with my 2012 Honda, it has been misfiring and the check engine light won't go off. When I bought it, I also purchase a warranty for $2600.00. I brought it to Pearson to be fixed. I talked to "Scott", I brought it to Pearson Honda because you are closer to where I live. I explained the whole thing. I also had the "Codes" for the misfire. Recently I looked up "Why is my 2012 Honda Odyssey misfiring?" I then learned that there had been class action suite against Honda regarding this matter (WAY before I bought the car), then I learned that Honda had extended the warranty (WAY before I bought the car) And that warranty had expired. Scott told me that he doubted that the warranty I bought would cover re-ringing the pistons. He also complained and said he didn't have time to sit on the phone and wait to be connected to the warranty people. I felt like he really didn't want to be bothered with the whole thing. I called the warranty people and they told me it WAS covered. Scott told me that it was NOT covered. I called the Warranty people again and they told me it WAS covered. The next day I was out of town. On the way home I called Scott - it took 6 times before I was connected to him, He said, "I ALREADY called you and left a message." (which I didn't get) "IT IS NOT COVERED BY YOUR WARRANTY". Again I called my Warranty people and they told me IT IS COVERED, But the dealership keeps telling us it is a compression problem". So, I don't know what he told the warranty people, but it was OBVIOUS that he didn't want any part of fixing my car. He NEVER asked if I wanted to pay to have it fixed. His act was that he was much too important and much too busy to deal with it. So, I have to take my car to Loyalty Volkswagon, where I bought the car, a non-Honda dealership, who informed me that IT IS COVERED BY MY WARRANTY and THEY are going to fix it. They are an hour and a half from where I live. I even talked to the service manager and got nothing but a runaround and the impression that HE didn't want to be bothered with it, either. Not to mention that it took over an hour to read the codes (RIDICULOUS) and they charged me for it, when I already had had it read and had the codes. So, I will never have service done or buy a car from Pearson. I don't appreciate the run-around or the attitude. Plus, (FYI) on another note, my son, who worked at Cap One and had a 6 figure income was treated like crap when he tried to buy a car at Pearson, they talked down to him and acted like he couldn't afford to purchase a car from Pearson. THAT cost you 3 New vehicle sales ($100,000.00) which he purchased from West Broad Honda. You would have to talk to him, Shawn Walenius 804-840-9166. Now you have two people who absolutely will not recommend Pearson Honda for ANYTHING. Plus I have heard from other people who feel the same way. However, Loyalty Volkswagon will get my consideration next time I purchase a car, because THEY had no problem with the warranty people and will be fixing my car. AND re-ringing the pistons IS COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY, so Scott is full of, uh, baloney regarding this matter. I don't appreciate the run-around or the attitude.
